Ok, I have $66.27 on my BEST BUY gift card (used to have $90 but spent 23 of it on a stupid rap CD  ) and Im planning to go to the bank on Tuesday. (Keep in mind that Im 15 and that my dad has power over everything in my life and everything is subject ot change).

But anyways, I'm planning on buying a GC...cuz I have the gift card and all. And Im wondering waht games I should get for it, and how much prices are and all. Cuz I dont wanna buy many expensive games.

I have a BB, a GameStop, and a TRU at my town, and Im wondering which games to pick up. WHICH WOULD YOU ALL RECOMMEND?

Thanks! :)

I have a BB gift card, so I plan on buying the GC with that. My mom hates used electronics so she wouldnt let me buy used. LOL

I wanna get at least two games and an extra controller when I buy it. For the first 2, What sohuld Ig et from this list?:

Metroid Prime
SSB:M
PIKMIN
F-ZERO
SM: Sunshine

or add others and tell me what Is hould get on the first day :)

A majority of the Player's Choice titles are excellent games and all can be found for $30 or less. Also Eternal Drakness is a good game that you can pick up for $15-20 new.

Get MP definitely, especially since it's so cheap now. Also if you are getting controllers, get a wavebird, trust me on this. Eternal Darkness is highly recommended, its cheap too. I also recomend getting Beyond Good & Evil although its multiplatform, but its cheap. Just keep hanging around here and picking up some good cube deals.

Of course I'll stay round here. Lol.

And I dont like wireless controllers, so I wont be getting a wavebird. (And when i say i hate em, i mean with a passion.)

wavebird is unlike any other...have you ever used it? its the exact same as the regular except no cord (it doesnt have rumble but thats not a bid deal) trust me...its unlike any other wireless

Smash Bros. Melee (about $30)
Soul Calibur II (About $30, maybe less)
Pikmin (about $30, if not less)
Metroid Prime (Another $30 game, maybe less)
Viewtiful Joe ($30)
F-Zero GX ($20)
Mario Kart: DD ($50)
Bomberman Generation/Jetters (ONLY if you like Bomberman ($20 Each)
Zelda Wind Waker ($50)
Animal Crossing ($30)

Don't forget the memory card!

There are my suggestions, You may be able to find cheaper prices, and always remember when watching your budget, the ggc is the way to go!

Of course all games are also subject to your preference on types of game...

You should get a wavebird it may change your opinion on the whole wireless. I hated them until I got a wavebird and it's awesome. The only disadvantage is no vibration but if you get past that it's pretty stellar.

Well, its more expensive. And I have limited money right now, so its not an option for me yet. :) but thanks for suggesting it :)

Just get one trust me, the hate for wireless controllers will only be a memory.

May I ask why you hate them, have you had problems with them in the past? I have never had a single problem with mine, and I can judge from people's positive posts about them that they haven't either.

Meh rumble was only fun when it first came out with Star Fox 64, those were the prime days when people actaully noticed the rumbling, especially with the 8lb. thing sticking out of the back of your N64 controller making it uber topheavy.

Anyways, yes do get a wavebird, and if you have a gameboy, get one of those nifty link cables and some cheap 3 dollar extension cable.

Well... that GBA -> GCN cable only if you have games that will use it or know you are going to get some.
get prime and smash bros. Both games will keep you occupied for a very long time.
I agree. Those are the best 2 on your list.

And the wavebird is pretty kickass. I replaced my 4 normal ones with 4 wavebirds, and I don't regret it.

Want hearburn? Try Ikaruga. Want to sit with your friends, play a game, and say "What the
Fu@#??? Get Cubivore (if you can find it).

Well, I also dont wanna spend so much money on batteries. And also, Im usually only 5 -10 ft away from the console, so no biggie....

It's not on your list, but you should check out Windwaker. Yeah, maybe it's not as good as Ocarina of Time, but it's still my favorite Cube game. Rogue Leader is also pretty good.
I had prime for trade if you had mechassault...but in the past five min. ive struck a deal...sorry ^_^
So when will Mechassault be shipped to you?
I would get WW, but its too expensive for now.
I know I've seen it for 30 used in a lot of places... can't remember if it was EB or gamestop.

Dont forget to check out Rogue Squadron 2, its very cheap (can be had for $10) and one of the best games on the cube.

I also reccomend Viewtiful Joe, its $30 new in most places so a used on should be around $20. Better than MP and SSBM combined IMO.

I would say return that crap CD. First off you got ridded off, second it's rap. Thirdly no one should help anyone that still likes rap, it's just disturbing.
I would recomend buying a preowned one from GS or EB (if you have one)...that will get you one for 50 after mail in rebate
How do I get it for $50 after MIR?

If you like using the microwave, wifi, or your 2.4ghz cordless phone at the same time in close proximity you will have lots of problems.

There is supposed to be like a nintendo super big memory card comin out on June 3rd, over a thousand blocks, I'd wait for that if I were u

Resident Evil games and Fzero GX were the only titles i enjoyed for my GC so far. I have a stack of unplayed ones, that could be good but i may never know.

I suggest getting Soul Calibur 2 It just got turned into a player's choice so you can find it for $20....also dont diss rap, its the best music out there right now and the fastest growing...so dont hate.

buy one, take all the inards out, and return the case! Gonna have to buy cables and a controller, but will be hella cheap!

Thanks guys for your help. I bought one today.

Jet Black GC system
Microcon Controller
Nyko memcard w/ 1000 or so blocks
Super Smash Brothers: Melee

For $170.

I woulda bought another game, but i didnt have enoguh money.

But, again, thanks!

An empty case weighs nothing its pretty obvious. Plus whats a reliable source to buy the gamebit for cheap. For those nasty security screws underneath.
I would have passed on the Nyko card, but I hope it works out for you.
Once that super big card from nintendo comes out, ill use that, and use the Nyko one for backup. How mcuh will the new nintendo card cost?

Nice list.

As it just so happens, Metroid Prime (in my opinion) is the best single player experience on the Gamecube. It can be found for 19.99 new and less used.

Super Smash Bros. Melee is the best multiplayer experience on the Gamecube. It might still be 29.99 new, but it's worth 50. Get both of those.

EDIT: I notice you've got Melee now. I also notice you're interested in Wind Waker. I would suggest attaining WW and Prime next, in no particular order.

I would go with Sunshine and Metroid Prime. I beat them both and they are very solid titles -you can't go wrong. I haven't played F-Zero, but I read it was extremely difficult. As for Eternal Darkness, I played beat that too. There is a reason it is so cheap - it sucks. I think it is one of the most over-rated games ever. Peoples' judgement was clouded by the fact that it was "Nintendo's entry into survival horror." If your're going to get a survival horror game for your GC, go with one of the Resident Evils. As for Smash Bros. I found that it is only fun in multiplayer, unlike Soul Caliber 2 (which is under $20 now) which has a fun single-player campaign mode.

You should def. get WW and not Prime IMO...I thought Primes aiming was fucked up...I hated pushing that dammed L trigger...it was sooo messed

prime is at a very good price right now, and the graphic are great, i was pretty shocked buying it after release. (but i returned it soon after because it got me dizzy) also if anyone still watching this post... Eternal Darkness is a must have, you have to play the whole game through to realize what sick minds those developers have. (ppl that have played it, please dont spoil) its worth picking up for $10 preowned. i suggest playing windwaker and prime all the way through too, but i dont want to tell you how to play your games. its such a great time to get into a cube, and it feel great to be a nintendo fan cause of the incredible line up they have for july 04 ~ 05

fire emblem
tales of symphonia
new zelda
128 marios
star fox (not lame adventures)

omg, i wet my pants.

My Cable internet wasnt working properly yesterday...but..I got new stuff for my cube!

GB Player $50 -$5 = w/ GGC $45(Cuz I dont have a GBA, I figured i should get this)

FFTactics Advance $35 - $5 w/ GGC = $30 (Cuz I dont have FFTactics for my PS2, and I heard Tactics advance has more stuff, so I got it.

Animal Crossing $30 - $5 = w/ GGC = $25 (Cuz it is somewhat an RPG, and I heard alot of good things about it. Its a love or hte game, and fortunately, I love it!!!

Zelda : WW $50 - $5 = w/ GGC $45 (Cuz everyone praises it, and I praise it too. Awesome game!

And yes, I used 4 GGCs...took the guy 20 minutes to ring up everything....hehehe...
