I Want A New Smash Brothers!!!!

rickybee2003

CAGiversary!
why wont nintendo release a sequel to the only game worth having a cube for?!
stupid nintendo. has anybody heard anything of a sequel???

I agree. I bought a cube on launch just for this game, and it's the only game i had for cube for months. I might end up buying revolution just for the sequel too.

You haven't played Resident Evil 4, have you? Or Paper Mario? Besides, if Nintendo pushed new Smash Bros. on us like they did Mario Parties, you'd quickly realize how mediocre it is. I think Nintendo is doing the right thiing by sticking to one per generation, because in all reality you could play the original on the N64 and have the same experience as Melee.

It's a completely different experience to hardcore players, and I'm sure they'd all agree with me. I do agree that other games make gamecube worth it, and that one per gen is a much better idea than what they do with mario party. Resident Evil 4 kicked ass.

More importantly, I want a new Super Smash Bros. with NEW fuckin' gameplay.

I prefer the original myself. They had to go and turn Ness into a little bitch ... :bomb:

I just got this a couple days ago. I LOVE it! I have never played the 64 version and hardly played the GC one I got it because I need more multiplayer games. (for me and my wife & 4 yr old to play, and sometimes my nephew will come over) Traded TOS for it and it was worth it! But I do think that they should keep it to a once time per gen.

Am I the only one who dislikes Melee?

I really loved the N64 version, or at least what I remember of playing it, so I picked up Melee a while back, and I really could not get into it. I'm not just talking about single player, I'm talking multiplayer. When I play it with my friends, I get really bored, and I don't think they are having the best of times either. Although some of my other friends love it.

i think the N64 version and gamecube version are the best but liike they said you only need one per gen or it will not be worth playing like mario party saga

Melee is far more refined than the N64 version. I love both but Melee is leaps and bounds the perfect successor and example of how sequels should be made.

It's honestly one of the finest games ever crafted. It was not made. No, it was assembled by gods.

why would you want a new Smash Bros? What are they going to change? add?

I would like to see a Gamecube Killer Instinct, Pilot Wings, and Blast Corps before a sequel to an already nearly perfect game.

I believe Nintendo mentioned something about destructable environments among some other things that escape me at the moment. And online.

My friends get bored of it because they never win.

Though they have a much better chance of it with melee. I'm all but untouchable (at least for them) in the original.
i want a new rival scools or killer instinct or powerstone
Agreed. It would be nice to see a different graphic change in Rival Schools and same kind of gameplay. They SHOULD make more games like Powerstone. But striving to be "unique" would soon make everything dull. Well I said that poorly, but it goes if you try to make a more interactive bg then other games will be like that and off it goes making it somewhat boring. Killer Instinct was really morbid (to me at that age), but really fun. Mmm reminds me of another old-school game...

Anyways yea there's going to be a new SSB when the Revolution comes out. And making like 3 SSM on one system seems stupid. But then look at Dynasty Warrior that's still great, but of course that's action slashing/hacking fun. I don't think there should be like SSM Revolution 2 or 3 or 4 or something. I hate for a good game to be played out. Anyways Mario Party is a good example -.-;; but I never did play 6. Judging from 5 that extra stuff is boring to me.
License someone elses characters (Sega?) to add to the Nintendo characters.
That would be a cool idea!

Both Smashes were excellent, but Melee is just so much more balanced. After having Melee, I now realize the first one merely came down to who was the better thrower. But, I cannot wait for Smash Bros. Online.

I hardly ever throw in Melee ... and I'm not really sure why. :whistle2:k :?

Yes updated graphics to rival schools would bring tears to my eye, just imagine if the graphics were like DOA level. Hinata and Sakura and that busty blonde girl would keep me busy for months

:joystick:

It is not a new game if all they do is add characters. I'm sure if they just added characters and resold the game you people would just complain.

I hope some of the levels will be fully 3-D playable, like Soul Caliber style. I've also always wondered what new Nintendo characters they would add in the next installment.

Tiffany.

Because Nintendo manages to keep a lot of titles going by deliberatley only realeasing a new one every few years. If they tossed out a new mario, mario kart, zelda etc. every year people would appreciate them about as much as megaman.

Dear rickybee2003,

Meele is the only game worth having a cube for? What about us?

Signed,
Metroid Prime, Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, Eternal Darkness, Rogue Leader, Tales of Symphonia, and Resident Evil 4.
