Yo, you're an idiot. I am currently employed. I'm looking for a new job while I have a job.
I'm surprised that the manager just skipped through the interview and just gave me the hiring packet without us discussing hours, pay, or anything...you know usually you discuss and get a feel with one another before they take your info and decide if they want you or not.
On the real....if you feel like something is up, then don't take the job. Respectfully decline and ask that your information be destroyed. And then call corporate and inform them that you notified the manager of your actions.
I had more typed initially, but it seems you're dealing with one of "those" types of managers. If you're working part-time...I'll tell you exactly what to expect: barely above min. wage base salary with commish. The commish though is hard to obtain unless you're in a radioshack with nothing surrounding it. The one I worked at....just happened to have a wal-mart, Circuit city, Best Buy, Target,Toys RUS, a full mall, Sears, and Office Depot....ALL RIGHT NEXT TO IT!!!!
Well, to be fair, the Best Buy and Toys RUSwas a mile away....
Think about that....how am I expected to make commish when all that shit is nearby??? I'm up here like "Yea, I got the deal on this phone!" And people are like "Hey, if Wal-mart's price is better...I'll be back here..."
(Oh yea, there was an AT&T store right next to the Radioshack too. It made me wonder why the hell Radioshack decided to build right there in the heart of competition! The other RS store in my town was isolated from all the huge retail stores except another walmart...and it was also in a more quiet, older person area. Needless to say....hitting commish there was easy!)
So that's one huge thing you gotta realize. Are you willing to basically make min wage depending on your location and selling abilities when it comes to cell phones???
Another thing...you're not going to have benefits unless full time...and also...like any commish job, the best sellers get the evenings and sat mornings. Now, if you're a person who perfer the morning crowd...or hate closing....Radioshack won't be for you! I loved closing because I had a better chance at getting the woman who just got off of work or the college student who needed a charger before he went out to party. Mornings = old people who needed resisters and diodes for their ham radio...and took advantage of nobody being there with you to tell you about how awful their son is or their grandkids who aren't legal age...
Basically, what I'm telling you is that your best bet is waiting till Tues. If you don't hear nothing by then, count your blessings, do what I typed, and look elsewhere. If you really want a job there or need one (because jobs are vital in this economy!) then good luck and play it smart
