In celebration of Christmas, I thought I would start the day (and everyday until christmas) by doing something kind or altruistic for my fellow man/woman. Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Christ, joy to the world, peace on earth, and all that jazz...oh i left out kindness to one another.
So how to start off the first of 12 days of holiday celebration? Well, I tried to celebrate the holidays by going to my local Circuit City and ripping them off by exploiting this computer pricing thing I keep reading about. I get down there dressed in my most festive Christmas sweater, load up the basket with as many games as possible (in even numbers of course), and march up to the cashier singing "Holy Night".
As I was singing, I noticed that people were staring at me funny. I don't know if it was because of my 50 games in the basket or my choice of music. When the cashier started ringing me up, I had moved on to "O Come All Ye Faithful".
I noticed that the prices weren't reflecting the 4.99 as I thought they would, so I pointed out that in the spirit of the season, she should ring them up under package #2. She said that her boss had informed the staff of the exploit intheir system. To which I replied, "FOR THE LOVE OF CHRISTMAS, I drove all the way down here to spread the holiday spirit by taking as many games as I could for 4.99 like others have around the country".
She refused to adjust my receipt, so I got the manager. I told him that I wasn't ripping CC off, I was just taking advantage of their computer problems, and if they couldn't honor something like that then I would take my business to the next store that shows a technical vulnerability.
No games here, but I had full intention to rape the game rack empty. Maybe next Christmas. *Breaks into 'Tis the season to be jolly..."*
