So I bought a Q9550 CPU, brand new, at Micro Center, thinking that the 775 socket was compatible with my MSI P6N SLI Platinum motherboard.

Guess what? It's not.

Guess what else? I could only exchange it, and within 30 days of purchase. It's about 46 days post purchase. That'll teach me to procrastinate.

I paid $159 + tax, it's been used to the point I couldn't boot with it. Arctic Silver 5 was applied to it, but I have cleaned it with Arctic Silver Thermal Material Remover. It's the retail box and comes with an unused heatsink + fan, if you think you could use the stock heatsink + fan.

PM me with best offers. I'm also looking for most newer PS3 or Xbox 360 games. Check the links in my sig for direct links to my Amazon wish lists, which I keep updated regularly.

Thanks!

So does this work for sure? I would be interested in it if you're sure it does.
