Yes, expected barrage of insults for planning to buy these drums, I would like to get a set of these drums. But not so badly that I can't wait for a deal, hopefully 10% or 20% off. Anyone see these on sale anywhere?

There is an Ion drum set at Target stores that has been put on clearance. The lowest reported price was around $60 (75% off regular price). Unfortunately, this clearance has been very YMMV for me...stores that have the set in stock have it for regular price, or the stores that have it for $60 are out of stock. Worth checking though.

Oh my god, that would be an amazing deal. If anyone finds one, please pm me. I will make it worth your while.

The set that 180husher is talking about IS an Ion set, but it is not compatible with Rock Band. It is for use as a standalone (or possibly computer-based) installation. Yes, it's got a USB connection, but I can't imagine it just "works" with Rock Band, considering Harmonix partnered with Ion to make a special kit for Rock Band 2...still a good deal if you're wanting just to learn how to play. I think this is the kit on which you might find said deal: http://www.target.com/Audio-Piece-M...d_s=left-5&pf_rd_m=A1VC38T7YXB528&pf_rd_t=201
