iPod deal?

hello guys yet again for question on a deal oppurtunity for my quest for new technology amd such...

so with the education discount on new video ipods, it cuts about $30 off the prive to make it $269, now i can either buy this or get a refurbished one for $10 less at $259.

should i bother with getting the refurbished one (i dont really care about scratches and such), more than anything i am scared of getting skimped out on a shitty player and battery that will have to be sent back into apple, and i do plan on getting that shitty insurance plan for the ipod.

You're scared for good reason, that's a perfectly good reason to just get the new one. For that much money it's not worth the risk, and you're already spending over $200 on a new toy so I don't think $10 makes much different.
