I was just browsing EB's cheap ass sections and saw that Alter Echo is STILL there after almost a month. Is it no good? At $6.99 I'm considering trying it out.

I enjoyed it, and I got for $10. It's not the best game you'll ever play, and the voice acting is so bad it's funny, but it was a decent enough game. The combo system is kind of fun.

I'm pretty sure you can find it cheaper though.
 
I'd have to say don't waste your time/money unless you have both to spare. Have you played Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy? It is the same price and a MUCH better game.
 
I liked both Alter Echo and Sphinx. Not AAA games, but still a bit of fun. Alter Echo has a unique combo system that is intersting. Sphinx, playing as the Mummy is inventive. I would also reccomend Maximo.
 
The gameplay was pretty good. However, the backgrounds and the world you are traveling through are just terrible. I played 3/4 of the way through and stopped. As fun as the play mechanics were, it just felt very boring due to such plain/bland visuals.
 
It was definetly worth the $1.20 I spent for the game during TRU's 90% off green tag sale... It's like an action adventure game, not the greatest but it's still a lot of fun... I'd probably buy it even it was $6.99.... I preferred Kya more then Alter Echo though. That was also $1.20 at TRU... Is Kya cheap at EB now?
 
I'm not a flamer or a troll, but.. God damn you all for having GOOD Toys 'R Uses.. Mine is useless! Green tag sale? Hah! They yelled at me for asking for a DEMO. :(

Oh and thanks for the advice. I think I'll give it a go for $7!
