Bear Grylls accused of staging Born Survivor show

With a name like Bear you gotta be tough. And so we, the general public, had been led to believe that Bear Grylls, star of Born Survivor is deserving of his butch moniker. For his Channel 4 show Bear is dropped into various inhospitable wildernesses, with nothing but his skills to keep him alive. However, The Sun is reporting that the TV toughie has had us all fooled and is in fact a big softie.
Survival expert Mark Weinert has claimed that a raft on the programme, shown to have been built by Grylls, was actually his handy work. That he led a team to construct the raft, only for it to be dismantled and Bear filmed re-assembling it. All this, and the revelation that a desert island Grylls visited was actually a smart holiday resort in Hawaii with TV and internet access. Grylls has been unavailable for comment but I’m sure once he returns from his trek in Wales (if that's really where he is), that he’ll be keen to preserve his macho image and set the record straight.
 
He's got a freaking camera crew that follows him, you expected any less?

I always got the impression it was a show about information and entertainment instead of a "reality" show anyway. He's never that far from civilization in any of the shows either. The point is that you don't have to be that far off to be lost and have need of survival skills.

Now Survivorman is a better "reality" show. That crazy ass does all his own camera work too.

I always thought that Man vs. Wild reeked of faketitude (that's a fun new word).

Yep, Les Stroud totally beats Bear Grylls.

EDIT: And I can't wait for the new season of Survivorman.
 
Old as internets. However, Bear might be a faker, but he could still kick Stroud's ass. Why?

The point of Man vs. Wild is to teach you shit if you're in a similar situation, not entertain your ass with "OMFG will he die? I must keep watching, this is like, single-player SURVIVOR, and God does all the voting!"

This is of course assuming America's fat ass would stop watching retard shows like Survivor and American Idol, get off the fucking couch, and get lost in their own backyard, let alone the austrailian outback. :)

Survivorman was today. Awesome show as usual. He also said not to drink your piss totally contradicting Bear who supposedly drank his own piss in an episode (probably faked too).

I think I'd rather watch (and learn from) someone who is smart enough to be able to get water from another source than shit.
