Is BestBuy not PM if you have Amazom Prime?

I was at BestBuy today and was going to PM two movies with the Amazon prices. Well, when I was checking out the girl called the manager since she needed him to approve the first PM. Then I showed her the second movie I was PM, but then she saw it said PRIME next to the price, and she told me we no longer PM if you have PRIME. The manager told her it was ok just this one time.

Is this something new BestBuy is implanting or is this something that's been going on for sometime now? PM amazon has never been a problem regardless if I was PRIME or not.

Has this happened to anyone else when PM amazon and had PRIME or I wonder if this is something that store is implementing now?
 
Im amazed you managed to get your BBy to pricematch Amazon at all.  They routinely pull the "no pricematch of online sales" on me.

 
How is it like price matching Costco? Prime doesn't get your cheaper prices on items, it only affects shipping speed.

I think he was referring to the fact you have to pay a membership fee, and BB generally don't match places like Costco, and the reason they use is because you have to pay a membership fee to shop at Costco, etc.

It still doesn't make sense their reason for not price matching though since Prime has nothing to do with the price of an item, but I rarely even shop at BB anymore anyways, so it's no skin off my back.

 
I just noticed that once you sign out of Amazon it doesn't say Prime next to the price it only shows Free Shipping over $25. I'm always signed in on my phone I never noticed it. I'll try to PM some more movies tomorrow while being signed out, and see if I don't get any problems. If BestBuy is going to start denying PM because of prime I'll just transfer all my BestBuy credit to Amazon.

I'm curious has this ever happend to anyone else? I wonder if its just my BestBuy doing this.

Sounds like BB was just trying to find an excuse as to why they won't price match it.  That or you got a moron that has never shopped on Amazon and thought Prime was some kind of discount.

 
If they try to stop you from PMing due to Prime, couldn't' you just log out? Doesn't that remove all the Prime logos?

That's what I did today. I loged off my amazon account on my phone and I price mached Sinister to the Amazons price. The funny thing was I got the same girl that price matched my movies yesterday, and today she didn't say anything.

So I guess that's what I'll do from now on when price matching Amazon just log off.

Curious as to why you are pming amazon and using best buy when you have prime?

Just buy Amazon giftcards with all your best buy GC (what I always do) and just use amazon. Way easier to have a package brought to you then to have to drive to best buy and deal with incompetence.
