I recently ordered three NEW Wii games from Gamestop. The items were sent in two shipments. In the confirmation email for the first shipment, both games have a TR25 beside the name of the game. Does anyone know what the TR25 means?
When I tried to search for the meaning, most search results led me to this website. Some people seem to think it means the games are used/preowned. Others think it might have something to do with a discount or shipping method. But no one seems to know the meaning for sure.
I tried calling Gamestop and was put on hold forever, so I hung up. I've tried emailing them twice from different addresses and have not received a reply, it's been a week.
Since two of the NEW games were bought as gifts, I want to make sure they're not preowned. I received the games (Mario Kart w/wheel and Zumba Fitness 2 - both for Wii) and they came in their normal boxes. However, the boxes have a round tape seal on the ends (also normal) and the game cases and accessories are inside the box. I don't want to open the boxes. I've tried peaking in the box, but I can't tell if the game cases are shrinkwrapped or not.
If the games were preowned, would it be obvious? I probably sound paranoid, but I've heard stories, especially about Gamestop. I wouldn't have ordered from there, but they were the only place that had Mario Kart plus a discount with use of a coupon code. Like I was going to pay full retail price for that game, yeah right!
