I have a US Dreamcast and was wondering if it was possible that the import online portion of the game will work even though I live in the U.S.

I don't think any Fire Pro games have online options for gameplay; downloads, perhaps, but not gameplay.

Didn't Spike put online into D to allow you to update movesets and characters only?

I dont know if you can get the moves off of Spike's site, but try this one: http://www.gswf.org/dl_moves.asp Download the system file (to unlock all of the wrestlers) and the Rename File (to change all of the wrestlers to their real names) then just move down the list grabbing each of the moves. 00-56 were all originally released by Spike and that site offers them with both the original Japanese names as well as English names.

After that head here http://www.angelfire.com/freak/jblackhart/moves.html to grab some user created moves.

It's been awhile since I've played FPD, but how would I go about "installing" these files?

If you've got a net ready DC, you can download the Sega/VMI files directly to your VMU. Otherwise, you would need a Nexus style card with cable and software, download the Nexus zips to your computer, and transfer them over.

Just as a note, be sure to have a lot of VMU's on hand for this. In total, with all of the moves and system files, I'm have 7 VMU's plugged in for the game.
