is it true?

According to gamefaqs its a new Metal Slug and for Japan only. Then again, thats according to Gamefaqs. Take it for what you will.

There have been plenty of new PS1 games in recent years. They just aren't published in the NA market that has moved one. Places where the PS1 is considered a major investment are still seeing titles developed for the local interest. The royalty rate is far lower than you'd see in major markets. It isn't a lot of money for Sony but you take it where you can get it.

That would surprise me. The PS1 was a poor system for 2D games like Metal Slug. The Saturn version of Metal Slug blows away the PS1 version. Plus theyve already released Slug games for the ps2, why would they go backwards? Stupid gamefaqs...

The PS1 game in question is supposidly a PS1 version of Metal Slug 6. I think that the listing may actually be an error, and that it's the PS2 version of MS6 that will be on display.
