Is NextWorth (Target trade-in) a scam?

I traded in some electronics and a video game to them for Target store credit, and got this e-mail back from them regarding the game:

Condition: Normal Wear
Original Case: Yes
Original Artwork: Yes
Quoted Value: $9.75

Condition: Cracked disk
Original Case: Yes
Original Artwork: Yes
Inspected Value: $0.00

Now I know for a fact there was no crack and the game was playable (unless somehow during priority mail shipping, it got completely beat to hell by the post office), and I have a feeling that they're going to keep the game for $0.00 and resell it for a larger profit. Basically I think I'm getting screwed here, because at least Toys R Us would've given me $9 for it. Now if they give my electronics items the runaround, I'll know for sure.
