Is Nintendo Pennant Chase Baseball dead?

Besides the Gamespot article (http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/sports/nintendopennantchasebaseball/news_6127520.html), has anyone heard anything about this title?

I originally thought it was awkward that Nintendo would release two baseball games at the same time (NPC and Mario Superstar Baseball). However, MSB has a release date (according to Nintendo.com - Aug. 25) but NPC's release date is "Announced".

The game wasn't looking so good to me, so it's no surprise that it's been delayed until further notice. They're probably putting it off to rework the game and release it next spring without as many competitors on the GC.
