Is the Micro with silver, camo and flame faceplates worth more?

A local store (Hudson's Treasure Hunt) had some Micro's for 30 bucks. I picked up a 4, one for myself and the others for presents. Three of them come with the black, blue and pink faceplates but the other one has silver, flame and camo.

I decided to go on Ebay to see how they go (hey I got 4 of them I can sell my own if it's worth more ya know?) and I saw that the one with silver, camo and flame seemed to be going fairly well: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110200166021

Does anyone know why this one might be worth more? I'm considering listing it as Buy It Now or something and putting the money towards buying a PSP or something I'd use more than a Micro (considering I already have a DS and a GBA SP). Just wondering if anyone knew what the deal was with it...

maybe he just got lucky. i think some people like to just stick on one auction and not shop through the entire list of other auction. but then again i could be wrong and there might be something else to it. maybe the fact that it was just black. the only way to find out is to list it at a higher price and see if anyone would be willing to buy it. theres also other things that needs to be considered as well. maybe his pictures are better than others or maybe he described it better.

video games in general is pretty big this holiday. everyone is buying things 3 or 4 times the retail value. but like with everything on ebay, you just have to know when to sell at the right time.

I really was under that impression as well, didn't pick up the Micro with the intention of reselling it but each auction I find with the silver/camo/flame seems to go fairly well (outdoing the Famicon one). I'm perplexed but this is what I'm finding:

It is interesting to note that it is all the same seller, on the flip side it would appear he's about the only one listing them (properly?). I don't know what to think but I am thinking if I can sell mine for a quick 70 or so I could turn around and pick the other one up for myself. Heck if I know I'm just confused about this, may be I just say screw it and open it up and start playing it, that should make my mind up for me, heh...

Damn.. what's up with these recent price hikes in GBA SPs and Micros? I was hoping to be able to snag one of those NES Classic SPs but those are going for more than their original MSRP...

Well, in regard to the NES style GBA SPs I think the price peaked quite a while ago, then again I'd have to imagine the NIB ones might be getting rarer. Around two years ago I sold one and made around 120. However, I saw ones going last year for around 75. I have one I use for myself (I think the box is still floating around someplace). It is cool, but I think the better screens on the newer GBA SPs killed its appeal a bit.
