CAGiversary!
I was browsing through ye old pawn shop today & came across a mini PSOne system with the Sony LCD screen (in absolute mint cond.), a 12 volt car adapter, and a controller for $54.95. Would you say that it's a good deal? Should I be kicking myself for passing it up?

I would love to play FF7 while I drive ;)

Not really, considering TRU got rid of 'em for like.. ten bucks or less (the LCD screens) so you could find a combo for around $40..

Oh, and if you were in front of me and playing a PS1 while you drive, I think I'd take the insurance hike and hit you in the bumper (not trying to hurt you, but enough of a wreck to give your ass a wakeup call for playing a game while driving).

It's a decent deal, if I didn't have the PSOne and LCD screen I would pick it up for that price. The only thing is, is the car adapter the Sony brand? I remember hearing that using a 3rd party car adapter can damage the system, I'm not sure if it's true or not but to be safe I picked up the official one for $9.99 new at Gamestop (they also sell it for $2.50 used)

Fine. Just don't interrupt my gaming session.

Yup, it was the Sony adapter. I probably should have picked it up since it's 60 miles from my house :)

I'll take an old pro-logic receiver in & see if I can "barter" ;)
