According to the guardian, this happened this summer. Of course, it isn't confirmed, but I had suspicions for a while that they have been keeping their jet engines warmed up for a while now.

Ya I read this this mourning and almost posted it(figured 2 topics in a mourning is fine but 3 would be flooding). I bet Cheney had another heart attack when he found out that the US essentially passed up a chance at war with Iran without being the aggressor.
