As per my topic title, I bought the entire Star Wars collection on Steam years back, and I'm currently playing the modded Kotor2, which has out me in the mood for more Star Wars. I own all the Jedi Knight games there as well, but have never even installed them. Which of them are still worth playing and hold up today? Bad graphics don't bother me, though if they can be modded to be better I'd appreciate links to do so as well. Just want to know what I should play, and maybe what order if more than 1 is still solid today.

Thank you!

I say play them all, the best one is Jedi Academy.

I used to play the heck out of the multiplayer.

Hit me up on Steam/Raptr if you want to play some multi.

Hard to say, I really enjoyed all the games, but the first Jedi Knight and the expansion pack, Mysteries of the Sith, haven't aged well (The live action cutscenes in Jedi Knight are pretty cool though). Dark Forces is a good Doom styled game, and I think the Doom graphic style has aged better than Jedi Knight's early 3D efforts (Keep in mind that in Dark Forces, you aren't a Jedi, so no lightsabers or force powers in that one. It's a full-on FPS.)

Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast is generally considered the best game in the series, and Jedi Academy is also pretty solid (I love that you can use a saberstaff and dual wield in that one).

I think they're all pretty solid games. Mysteries of the Sith is the weakest entry in the series, and if you skip a game, that's the one to do it with.

If you want to play in story order, it's as follows:

Dark Forces
Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2
Mysteries of the Sith
Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast
Jedi Academy

That follows Kyle Katarn's story all the way through.

And if you haven't played the original KOTOR, I highly recommend it.

Play them all in order. If you play one and are not having fun, move to the next until you get to something palatable. They're all good for their time, whether they've aged well enough for you is another story, but definitely give each one a shot since they improve upon one another.

The plot for each game is another issue, though. I liked the live action story of Jedi Knight. Jedi Knight II is my favorite for the gameplay.
