I couldn't find my old Jericho thread but as you know the show got canceled and through a massive online, letters, and nut campaign, the show got renewed for several episodes starting next month. For those who can't wait til the show starts again, apparently the first 3 episodes have leaked on the internet. This was most likely intentional in order to get people to watch it when it returns next month and they wanted to give a preview of things to come. A lot of new plot twists that you have to check out for yourself. So far I have watched the first 2 episodes and I can tell you it's great and there is a lot in store for this season.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Jericho_episodes.

Eventually this will lead you to some links where you can see it.
How do you add extra things uder the line under your post?
I love how this has absolutely nothing to do with the topic...I like this guy.

And let me be a hater, Jericho sucks.

Looking forward to it--if CBS promotes it, it has no reason not to succeed right now. It will be on of the very few shows showing new episodes while its on. Here's hoping for a 3rd season.

Ok I have seen the first 3 episodes

here is a summary of events. WARNING MAJOR SPOILERS!!!

-The Military being controlled from the new government out of Cheyenne has established a firm presence in Jericho.

-A guy named Beck is in charge of the restoration of Jericho.

-Because of Beck's intervention, there will be no charges or actions taken against Constientino (sp?) or New Bern, even though it is determined that New Bern was responsible. Constientino has been removed from power.

-Jake, Eric and a few others try to kill Constientino, but are stopped at the last minute when Jake has a change of mind and stops Eric from killing Constientino.

-The town has been nearly restored to working order 4 weeks after the end of hostilities (which the title calls War with New Bern).

-Stanley Richmond makes a deal with J&R to settle his debts but doesn't read the fine prints. Mimi Clark reads the contract and learns that Stanley may not be able to recover from his debts after all and "convinces" the J&R rep to null and void the contract.

-Reports of an outbreak called the "Hudson River Virus" spreading from East to West with fears that it will be coming Jericho's way as it has "Jumped" the Mississippi River.

-Gotez (sp?), the main guy who was seen in charge of Ravenwood in Rouge River and Crossroads gets a shave and haircut :p and is now the Town's new administrator.

-Jake is now the new sheriff.

-President Tomarchio arrives in Jericho and gives a speech at the Richmond Farm.

-New "History" books are presented. Emilie and Eric discover that history is being re-written. Major Anderson starts to have doubts about his belief in the new government and agrees to start asking questions at the creation of the new constitution.

-Eric Green is left in charge of Jericho as Acting Mayor in Anderson's absence.

-With the help of Dale, Jericho manages to get a hold of a vaccine against the Hudson River Virus. They nearly loose it when Gotez get's involved.

-Valiente(sp?) is still searching for Sara Mason, thinking she's alive.

-Because of Bill's blunder, Hawkings cover is nearly blown.

-Instead of running away, Robert decides to give his FBI story to Beck and try to see if Beck can help him to expose the conspiracy.

-Robert has met up with another one of his teammates and more details about the status of the county is revealed.

-Robert and company's new objective is to expose the conspiracy to the world.

-The Hawking's kids (Allison and Sam) are not shown in the first 3 episodes. Bonnie is seen in episode 2 and might be going to Cheyenne with the J&R rep.

-Jake's mother is reported to be living at the family ranch for now, dealing with her grief after Johnston Green died in the season 1 finale.

-Jake tries to get a reporter involved, but eventually the report has a "Mysterious" heart attack and dies ended Jake's chance to get the truth out.
And a few other things I didn't mention so you will need to look forward to.

As for the current state of the county. Remember all those factions seen in Black Jack? Well now it's down to 2. East and West. Tomarchio controls everything west of the Mississippi River and President Charles (former Secretary of Health and Human Services) controls everything east of it. The capital for the east is in Columbus, Ohio. So it is theorized that everyone in the east side is following the old rules while everyone in the west is making new rules. The new Western Government is calling itself the "Allied States of America". At this time it is unknown what the other east side is called. Texas seems to be holding out and has a lot of military support and is leaning towards supporting Tomarchio. Hawkings and company is going to try to convince the Texans to support the east by exposing the conspiracy.
The media, which seems to be controlled by the government is reporting that it was North Korea and Iran who were responsible for the bombings, but Hawkings learned that the new government is covering up the evidence that these were actually Russian built bombs. J&R *may* be actually pulling the strings in the new government.

That alone has sold me enough to keep on watching the series.

If this was an unintentional leak, then we would see a poor quality version with time code placement, poor picture and audio, no special effects, no voice over or music. I think it's only a matter of time before CBS posts this on line as a sneak peek to get us interested again.

Looks like the producers weren't kidding when they said that they will show how Jericho would be important in the reconstruction of the country.

Now it would be a surprising twist at the end of the season if Grey Anderson becomes President...but I doubt that will happen.

Hmmm, didn't the first season end on a cliffhanger?
I.e. with Hawkins driving the train onto the track and the military train heading right for him? So does this take place a month after the 'war' with New Bern with flashbacks, or something?
It actually starts like a few hours after the battle. Jake gets dragged into the Richmond house, looks at the table where his father died then sees Constinieno (sp?) at the table and tries to knock him out but the military guys get in the way and stops him. Then Beck starts talking and there is a flashback to the final minutes of the battle. Bill gets hit and they drag him off all of a sudden the military arrives. An A-10 firebombs between the two fighting sides (cool cg effect). Hawkings takes the tank and derails the train moments before it hits the tank. The train spills what seems to be coal. No sign of anyone like people from New Bern on the train. The whole train derailment is never brought up again...so we don't know who was on that train. The last seen is Beck telling Jake to take this time to bury his dead and some other stuff and then you see what I think was New Burn's army devastated. Then the title card says 4 weeks after the New Bern War.

Just a reminder that Jericho Season 2 starts tomorrow at 10pm on CBS! Universal HD and Sci Fi channel are already starting to show season 1, which SCI-FI showing the first few episodes tonight!!

I've already seen the first three episodes and it feels like it taking forever for next week to come around. I can't wait til Episode 4 airs. I also have this feeling that episodes 6 and 7 are going to be a two part ender with Hawkings dying.

anyone see the ratingss for this show. wonder how its doing. DVRed both of them and watched them last night. Find them sort of boring hopefully it picks up the pace. DOnt they only have 6 shows though

7 actually. :( What's going to be strange is that if ratings do go through the roof throughout the season, and CBS decides to give it a 3rd season...then what? I am assuming episodes 6 and 7 wraps the story up quite nicely. I think I read somewhere that the ratings were ok, not bad, but just ok. It is believed because most of us watched the leaked first 3 episodes so we are skipping the first 3 and waiting for the 4th to roll around.

There is two endings. One will be aired if there will be a season 3. The other will be aired if Jericho is not picked up for a season 3.

The ratings haven't been good at all. Don't plan on it being picked up for next year.

It's CBS--there are many American cities that don't yet have a CSI show that takes place in their city.

hmm.

where did you get this information?

Personally I think Hawkings will die exposing the conspiracy to the world. I don't think the last nuke will be detonated because it serves more as evidence than a weapon at this point in the story.

CSI: Allentown. Principles that do crystal meth while watching gay porn and wacking off during school hours need to be stopped! Also, damn those Malpracticing doctors!!

I heard that the ratings were around 7 million or something...and its still getting canceled (those might have been for Season 1...not sure).

Anyways, I've never watched the show until I caught the beginning of the marathon on Universal a few weeks ago. Its probably one of the best shows I've ever watched. Ended up watching the first season in a few days. Set the 'ol DVR to record any episode aired of it to try and help out the ratings.

I thought S2 is not that great. The first episode was a bit boring, but it picked up pace on the second one. I wonder if it will get renewd....I say no.
Well... everything is riding on the 3rd episode that air's tomorrow. It's a so so episode. CBS should wait til episode 4 before really deciding what to do with this series. The good news is that the producers are shopping around for other networks to pick up the show in case CBS doesn't want to keep it. So lets hope Sci-fi gets it.

i remember people saying sci fi was going to pick up that sea monster show. Cant remember what is was called . was on nbc. Last show showed the world being flooding and the monsters everywhere.

the sci fi show i think you are talking about is surface...there were 3 sci fi shows on network tv that year....2 of them were solid...surface and invasion...there was another one, i foget the name, that was solid at the start and then got horrible.

as for the numbers...they are pretty bad...

and episode two of season two of Jericho at an equally disappointing (and last-place) 3.7/ 6 at 10 p.m. One week earlier, Jericho opened with a 4.1/ 7 in the overnights. CBS would have been better off finding an earlier time period for Jericho.

from www.tvtracker.com

the numbers are dropping...they wanted to cancel it to begin with. I liked the first season. But it had big peaks and valleys for the quality of each episode...some were great and some sucked....too bad that has happened so far this year. It hasn't been anything great so far. There numbers are roughly the same as other shows on other networks that get pulled.

Threshold was other one and that was my fav of the 4. Jericho and the other 2 (especially Invasion) all got stagnant for too long imho and I stopped watching.

I just picked up Threshold complete series from the Library to watch. I thought when it came out it got real good reviews but then it vanished.

What is Invasion?

I dont' understand what people want in TV I guess. I find this show much more appealing than 24 but that gets huge numbers (though I do like 24, I like this a lot more).

IMO threshold was really good at the start...but the numbers weren't there, and the writters got desperate and they had horrible scripts, had dumb ass guest stars etc to gain ratings

invasion was a real slow drama, but I thought it was a really good show. It is about aliens coming to earth killing humans and taking there form...I liked it, and I wasn't happy that it got cut...had better numbers then what jericho is pulling

"Invasion" was an excellent show and ABC made a huge mistake backing "What About Brian" instead of "Invasion." "What About Brian" was promptly cancelled less than halfway through the following season.

I thought last nights episode was pretty good...good story, well written and acted...had a slow rise in tension throughout the entire episode.

I slow mo'ed the preview for next week's episode.

-Looks like we will see what the new money issued by the new Allied States of America.

-Dale gets busted by Goez, probably they figured he was giving out the Hudson river virus meds.

-The military stops Jake and Hawkings for something.

-According to the preview text, looks like the Military will be close to capturing Hawkings. That scene might be it.

-The town might be put on some sort of lock down by Goez.

They have two ending to the finale episode.

The creator came out and said they filmed about 5 minutes that give hope to everything. I read somewhere that the creators are now looking to move the show to a different network, so they have no hope left.

And the ratings suck. In what universe is 7 million, and dropping, viewers considered good? Maybe on NBC and on CW, but not on CBS where repeats of shows get double the ratings.

And Invasion might not have been aliens by a new life form that came from the ocean. It started off horrible but the last episodes were stunning. The ending of some of the episodes were shocking.

Well whatever happens, at least they filmed two endings. I am glad that the dvd will come in the Summer. We will either see the alternate ending online or on the dvd.

Great episode, but sad to see what happened in the above spoiler.

However, it's a great catalyst for the crap to hit the fan.

This show has great writing and a great storyline.......they did say last 3 episodes of the season at the end........makes me wonder if they are close to a 3rd season?

The Ratings aren't bad really considering,,,,and look what it runs against.

The story is good, but the writing it terrible.

And what ratings are you looking at? repeats of pretty much every CBS drama gets 13-15 million viewers, that are the repeats! New episodes of Jericho are up against nothing. There is nothing else on.

The creators are in talks with other networks, cable networks, from what I have heard to pick the show up.

I can't believe Ravenwood killed her! That was so sad . She sacrificed her life to defend her home and to protect Mimi from Ravenwood.
Gotez MUST DIE!!!:bomb:

This was an amazing episode. The fact that Hawkings
was nearly caught if it wasn't for his John Smith caller. Beck either must be a fucking idiot or just playing along if he let Heather go like that without searching her. A simple search and it would have been all over.

Hawkings is skating on thin ice. How long til Beck arrests him or take his side.. only 3 episodes left to see what happens.

See people diss this show yet it just brings you back for more at the very end. You want to know what the fuck is going on.

I think we won't know if Season 3 will be a go until the 11th hour. I take it that they will make an announcement after next week's episode. It will be kinda hard for them to show the final episode that ties up the series, then give it a go for season 3...then the episode that was designated to be the season finale will have to air and that will confuse the hell out of people. So if anything the decision HAS to be made by the next episode.

I'm sure this has been brought up, maybe blatantly obvious, but the "unknown" voice on Hawkins' cel sounds a LOT like
Major Beck
to me.

nah....
Beck isn't going to do this type of shit. It sounded like Velitente but it's not. Just love how the guy was able to send those docs at full res to Hawking's phone. Why not just email him directly :)

Sucks that the one guy sold out Dale. God damn it, Gotez is really showing what a bad guy he can be.

Also did anyone notice the new currency?

the ratings it gets againsts the shows in its timeslot......it seems to be a consistent #2 whenever I see it.....not super great......but enough to keep the show alive somewhere,

The Writing is good IMO.....the acting isn't top notch but the story is not totally predictable and it's actually very plausible.

As for the ratings discussion, CBS REALLY dropped the ball by changing its timeslot from 8:00 to 10:00. This show just seems like one that would do better at the 8:00 timeslot.
