Decisions, Decisions....

I like anime in general, but I'm not necessarily a fan of the ones represented in this game (having not seen most of them)... would I still enjoy the game?

In my opinion, no. They are basically the same thing, except Ultimate adds things like dashing, hanging off ledges and of course, characters. Also, the online play adds a ridiculous amount of depth, which is absent in Super. The koma (the characters you fight with and support characters) are unlocked a lot easier for English-speaking players. In Super, you have to match a character with a silhoutte and a quote, which can be easy to ridiculously difficult. Ultimate has an easy to handle type of evolution tree thing in which you use points from fighting to get more koma.

Yes, but it doesn't offer many options. I think you can only choose between Naruto and Luffy and one level, I don't remember which. In Ultimate, you have slightly more possible characters, but they're picked at random.

I would say you'd probably still enjoy it, since it really is a good game. Of course, liking the manga that are featured helps, and I know I definitely wouldn't enjoy it as much if it didn't have the stuff I like. Plus, it introduced me to some new ones like D. Gray-Man and Gintama, both of which I like now. The biggest thing for most (English) gamers is of course the fact that it's in Japanese, but if you can get past that you'll enjoy it.

thanks akushin

im going to save my dough and get ultimate stars instead

but still, this is a good deal for super stars
it's where only one person owns the game, and the other ds systems download it for multiplayer
thx,

does it mean Jump ultimate star support it?
my local BB have it for $50.
It is not out in America, that is, assuming of course you live in America. Actually, it is only out in Japan.

I LOVE Jump Super Stars, and even though I Don't speak Japanese, some of the komas were easy. Most of them were hard, and I just found myself guessing until it worked. I don't have ultimate yet, but im gonna get it soon.

However, Jump Super Stars is a really fun game. If you haven't played Ultimate yet, I would reccomend this game, only because it's an awesome ride.

Now that I've played Ultimate, it's hard to go back to Super. But if you play super first, it's like double the fun, and you never felt like you were missing out while playing Super.

Best Buy stocks select imports. Mine also have this for 50 dollars.

Hmm, you shouldn't speak if you have no clue what you're saying.

Jump SuperStars IS in many Best Buys. But, BB prices the game at $50 bucks. The BB I go to also carries a Naruto DS game.

As anti-CAG as it may seem, I 100% endorse the idea that it's more sensible to spend the extra money and get Jump Ultimate Stars instead. All kinds of improvements.

Yes, Ultimate stars supports single card d/l.

I highly recommend getting Ultimate instead. It's just bigger and better.

well, i bit on this

i was debating the sequel but why spend the extra money if im not sure ill like it? Plus, it helps that there's a guy at work who has the first one and would be willing to play multi.
This game is worth only half of what PlayAsia is charging. Do yourself a favor and buy Bleach 2 instead.
This man is not sane.

Both are great, but Jump Super/Ultimate Stars > Bleach 2 in my opinion.
