Just another Tomba! rant from an individual

Now I'm starting to get more crazier for another Tomba! game to be released, if ever or to be remade on the Playstation Network (although I don't have a PS3), just so that I can buy a copy of the first for cheaper. I tried to get both Tomba games at eBay, but lost both bids. Eventually, I got Tomba 2 for around $25.00 + S&H at Amazon when I kept on refreshing the page every ten minutes just to see someone selling one of the games for less.

Now I know there are many gamers who wish their favorite franchise would be remade or given a sequel, but I really think this series deserves to come back from the gaming media, domain, etc.
"Another" Tomba rant? I wasn't aware that we had any already.
I have Tomba rants on a daily basis. In the middle of normal conversations with friends, I just sort of go off... It's become quite crippling, and it's ruining my social life. My doctor says I can stop whenever I want to, but he doesn't understand.

Yup, and the director of the game, Tokuro Fujiwara, has returned to Capcom. So, definitely a dead series.

There has been a copy of the original Tomba sitting at a local store (Book & Music Exchange, Henderson, KY) for quite some time.

It's still there because it's $75.

If I ever see the owner, I'll be really tempted to ask her if it hurts when she pulls these prices out of her ass.

With most of the game stores around here, the only difference is that you can see how you're being screwed over.

Viva Book Broker!

I love Tomba! (the first one, the second one is fail), but I refuse to pay over $20 for it.

I came close to buying was looked like it would be a decent copy, but it was around $35 because the CD store obviously looked at eBay prices.

I LOVE the Tomba games!

I bought both the days they were released and I don't regret it one bit.
I hope we get a PSN port or some developer can pick up the license and revive the series.

while this is almost completely unrelated the japanese psn store has games like Einhander and Energiz, they would be most likely the ones to release it if ever. The us store disappoints I mean, the japanese even have FF8 wtf!

I totally scored a deal on this one. Saw it in a GS years ago, used yet complete and in great shape for like $20 or less. I forget what I paid but it was totally on impulse and it turned out to be a collectable game. Come to think of it, I'm not sure if I played it...

I also love this game. I got it for free and sadly ended up selling it to Bookman's for $5 or so before I had any idea it was going to be worth anything or that I would want to play it later.
