Just like in the commercials

CAGiversary!
I lent my wii to some friends for a few weeks, with all the releases on the 360 and the ds, I've been playing a bit of catch up and havent had time to take on zelda as well. I think they've had the console for 3 weeks now. So I find out they they have had a bunch of people over to play it, theres like 13 mii's on there now :)

I'm totally happy it was getting some use. I would prefer that to it just sitting there and nobody playing it.

So they definately want one now, my friends are in their mid 30's, and their neighbbors want one as well. They are a bit older, possibly closer to 40. Thing is it's the neighbors wife that wants it, and she hates games! She loves her some bowling though.

Anyway, so after dinner last evening, we played some wii. It was just like the commercials with all sorts of people playing with the console. I wish I had a video camera with me. I have no words to describe the look of 2 people doing the boxing thing. It's classic, I assume anyone here knows how stupid one looks boxing on the wii :)

The funiest part of the evening was when I gave a wicked backhand to a glass full of water. I thought for sure I broke something. Water and cubes were everwhere. Fortunately nothing was broken and now they have a great story to talk about.
I didnt know you could give backhands in Wii boxing!
Backhand IRL is tech when fighting a Wii opponent. It's like your limit break move.

hehe, that's great.

One of my early "Wii Party" experience, my wife and I had a couple over from church. He and I played Wii while the girls talked. Except, my wife had made a pot of hot, chocolate fondue, that was sitting on the table in front of where we were playing Tennis, et al. I was sure that thing was going to get knocked over, but it never did! :)

I just had an experience like this while 4 of us were playing Tennis. My teammate was standing kind of behind me and went to swing and smacked me right in the elbow. Brings whole new meaning to "tennis elbow", that's for sure.

i had some classmates over afterschool, 4 player tennis is maaaadness, and when we got to baseball everyone just stood back, chicks are dangerous when they have a bat :applause:

Yeah actually I punched the glass while playing tennis, not boxing.

And my wife is claiming she needs a night off from the gym to recover from some sort of wii injury :)

I must say that playing Wii Sports Tennis w/ 4 people is one of the best gaming experience I've ever had. Similiar to when I used to play those Olympic games w/ the mat on the original Nintendo console.

Ive had, or gone to at least a dozen 'Wii parites' since I got the console. My friends (all in their 30's) all get together with food and drinks and smokes and we just play Wii sports and Rayman Rabbids all night. It never seems to get old. And yeah its just like the Nintendo commercials, especially since we are a racially mixed group with White, Black, Latino, & Asian players all screaming and waving around Wiimotes, lol.
