Katamari for the Wii?(just a little survey)

CAGiversary!
Nintendo has come out with a few great games(SSBB, Legend of Zelda:TP, ect.). But i was wondering, what if they came out with the next Katamari? It would be pretty simple with the movements. I would be pretty hyped if they actually came out with that. But would anyone else be hyped about it?

Well, seeing as how Nintendo doesn't own the license to Katamari, no I wouldn't be hyped for it.

Also, waggle controls ruin beloved franchises. Nights: Journey Into Dreams, never forget.

On the one hand, the cartoony graphics and simple, casual-friendly gameplay of Katamari seems like a perfect fit for Wii. On the other hand, the dual analog stick controls are so ingrained in the series, it's hard to imagine how it would be the same game without them. (They tried it with just one stick on the PSP, and every review I've read of that game trashed the control scheme.)

I do expect there to be a Katamari game for Wii eventually, but I don't know how they will manage the controls and still have it "feel" like Katamari, short of requiring the Classic Controller. Maybe the game could be sold as a bundle with a Classic Controller, like how Wii Play is bundled with a remote. That doesn't seem too likely though.

Nintendo doesn't have the license for it, but a Katamari game was rumored for Wii (and DS) for awhile. Stranger things have happened, but so much time has gone by.

Would I be excited? Yeah. Would I buy it? Yeah, unless it was totally unplayable. The PSP version had some serious limitations, but it was still fun and it was still better than the alternative (i.e. nothing).

I actually think the Wiimote could do a decent job controlling a Katamari. It's a shame that Nintendo is so busy chasing money that it doesn't need to bother with getting good games on the system anymore.

Thats true. There were rumors about it for awhile, but nothing has happened. I guess its just gonna be another thing they're just gonna push aside. Then again, yeah they don't own the licence for katamari so theres even less of a chance.
