Ken admittind SONY is hurting

Finally. The first step is to admit denial. Hopefully now Kutaragi will learn from his mistakes. Hopefully it wont actually take Sony Corp. out. I still want to see next gen playstations....just not at a ridiculous price.

Wow...a truthful statement from Sony. Ken must be sick...he should get checked out. Sony's hardware has always been pretty crappy. I've had stereos, playstations, and Vaios all crap out on me. If its getting worse I don't want to be a part of that. I think I'm waiting for the 360 to get its new chipset and then buying that.

What he's saying is "we're on the top, the only way to go is down." So if he or anyone really wanted to, they could twist it around to something positive now, and that might only become negative in the future maybe.

Whether or not it sounds pessimistic doesn't change the fact that you can't stay at the top forever. Sony is having some heaviness lately, but let's not all of a sudden pretend like they are already dying.

We're going to have to revisit this sort of thing in 10 years and see what happens.
 
All he's saying is that their hardware business appears to be slowing down. Yes, one part of the larger Sony conglomerate is not performing at historically peak levels. To me, he's not admitting much as all businesses have ups and downs, and he's not even saying that Sony as a whole is any major trouble.

Not defending Ken or Sony, but I guess it is easy to read more into things than what they are...

Sorry that its apparent that SONY is taking a huge hit here, if this was business (which it is) im pointing out why its looking worse and worse for them. I agree, this story was mainly in reference to the ps3 and the reason they are could hurting is because of the extra R&D with nothing to show for it yet. As long as they sell units once the system is released, all of these issues will cease. If they don't, that is another story entirely.
