I posted this in another thread... but roughly 175,000 provisional ballots are out there. In every election roughly 20% of those ballots are legit. Even if 100% are legit, Kerry would have to win over 80% of them. Its not a long shot, its a near impossiblity.. its got the same chance as monkeys jumping out of my ass, sprouting wings and defecating on the white house causing a major panic assuming a terrorist attack leading to World War 3.[/quote]
In Ohio in 2000, 90% of provisional ballots were accepted as legitimate. Those ballots will still be counted. If by some miracle Kerry would come out on top, Kerry would be declared president (it doesn't matter that he conceded). The Kerry camp obviously feels that outcome is so unlikely that they want to look good and concede now and then wait to see the final results.
