I didn't see a thread about the Kingdom Hearts game announced for the DS, so I figured I would make one.
IGN has an article on it, it looks like it is going to take place before Kingdom Hearts 2, with Roxas as the main character.

It takes a lot for me to spend the money on a game these days. I love the Kingdom Hearts game but I wouldn't say I'm loyal to them. This seems like something I'll pick up but only if the battle system is as damn satisfying as it was in the PS2 games.
 
Kingdom Hearts... can't get enough of that stuff.

I saw a 3D version of Chain of Memories on X-Play today and damn I want it.

A must buy for me, looks awesome.
 
Those screens look nice, especially the one in the town vs the giant heartless. Co-op sounds really cool... i hope in single player you can switch control to any character -- that would be fun.

on the other hand, the screenshots on the top page of those scans look like the DS will suffer even worse from the "trapped in a box" feel of the PS2 games. What i mean is that many areas in the PS2 games were very clearly just boxes with backgrounds painted on the walls... they didn't fake open spaces too well.

Also: let's hope the framerate is decent -- there's a lot going on in those shots!
 
On second thought, I'm not sure if I dig this too much. It seems like all signs are pointing to the Never Ending Story

Not sure I follow. Are you literally referring to the Neverending Story? Or do you just mean it looks like they're going to be milking this franchise into the next millenium? :)

If you're trying to compare something to The Neverending Story like it's a bad thing, I'll drink the blood of your firstborn.
