I got Kirby Dreamland from Club Nintendo for my son on his 3DS. How do I get it on mine also?

You bought a copy for your son, as he has his own system. You want to play it, buy your own copy, or borrow the system. The game is basically an app.

The game/app is tied to the system rather than an account. Each of your Nintendo download purchases (whether wii, dsi, or 3ds) can only be on one system at a time and, in most cases, can't even be transferred to another system.

Yep, you'll have to buy it again. They do that to prevent game sharing. It comes as a gift code, so you just go into E-Shop and redeem it.
