Can't believe 24 Redemption isn't out yet...and to think the DVD hits next Tues.
Reported. Snitched.

I don't mean to sound like a _____ or nothin', but I think I'll wake up a couple hours early tomorrow so I can dick around with NXE before class. :0)

Putting out the DVD before they air that 24 thing seems kinda stupid. Whatever, the writing on that show kinda sucks dick.

VaJJ, there's a huge difference between nu metal and new metal.

Don't think that bands like Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, and KoRn (these are the ones that were at the top of my head) are even close to being in the same category as bands like Dark Tranquillity, In Flames, Cradle of Filth, Mastodon, etc.

Premiers on TV this Sunday, then out on DVD Tuesday.

Well, you could easily lump them all in the category of "Lame".

Though I do like some stuff from certain listed bands.

The last four bands I mentioned are all great.

Nothing wrong with death metal, black metal, or progressive metal.

Dark Tranquility = LAME
In Flames = TURBOLAME
Cradle of Filth = Not quite lame, but also not black metal
Mastodon = LAME

And yea, nothing wrong with death, black, or prog, but only when they relate to good bands.

The Gallery is a classic melodic death metal album. It's just behind Slaughter of the Soul as far as death metal goes.

In Flames is one of the lesser prominent bands from the mid-90s Gothenburg scene, but still worthy.

Cradle of Filth's genre is debatable, and they are, admittedly, pretty polarizing. In general, though, they tend to be solid. Dusk...And Her Embrace is, of course, a classic.

Mastodon has released nothing but good material. Every song from Blood Mountain is solid.

I'm disappointed in how bad they made the fauxhawk look. :( Needs more clothes. Luckily, they'll be adding to it constantly.

Morning OTT. I didn't have time to play around or make an avatar but I dled NXE this morning. Riddle me this. How can a complete overhaul of the dashboard system take only 2 minutes for me to dl and install, yet the most inconsequential and small update on the PS3 take 15 minutes to dl and about just as long to install? I think in the next batch of consoles, Sony should make the actual console itself and Microsoft should take care of the software side.

Morning OTT. NXE is pretty good. XBL is being funky though and Netflix is freezing activations for the moment. I spent my morning installing Fallout 3 to what little free space I had left.
lilboo's is going to be FABULOUS!
Actually, lilboo's is quite pedestrian. I really thought I'd see purple all over the place, some glitter here and there, and a colorful boa.

I saw the trailer for that new Star Trek last night. Doesn't look like anything I'd go see, but the chick playing Uhura (sp?) was fucking smokin'.

Now explain to me Star Trek again. Is that the one where Jareth the Goblen King is in trying to get into the Matrix, but every time he picks up the phone he ends up coming into contact with Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV?

Yeah, I like the crazy monsters and all that, but the story's kind of bland.

You know what's weird? It's practically a shot for shot remake.
