I saw this on IGN today and just couldn't resist.

May 11, 2006 - At Konami's E3 press conference earlier this week, Ryan Payton, International Manager for Kojima Productions, showed off the team's latest E3 promotional material. The piece closely imitates Show Daily, the E3 show's official daily magazine, though the content focuses completely on the games of Kojima Productions. The material, cutely named Show Maybe?, copies the look and layout of the E3 Show Daily, going as far as including full-page advertisements. Most of the adverts are for Kojima Production games, including Metal Gear Solid 4 and Lunar Knights, though a few of them are not. Here's one that caught our attention.

On the left page are these words, written in font that looks like handwriting: "Dear Mr. Kojima," forming the sentence "Dear Mr. Kojima, Jump in."

Now we haven't heard anything from Konami on the subject. This could simply be a joke for fans, or perhaps a jab at Microsoft who's no doubt courting the popular developer. Does the ad hint at future Xbox 360 support from Kojima Productions? Be sure to stay tuned.

I can only hope....

Didn't Kojima say a long time ago he was working on something for the 360, but that it wasn't MGS?

He sure did:

"Metal Gear Solid 4 is only scheduled for release on the PlayStation 3 at the current time," he told the Japanese game magazine. "Of course we could port it to other consoles, but doing so would require additional staff and research and development costs. If I were to make games for the Xbox 360 or the [Nintendo] Revolution, I'd rather create original titles that match each console's audience, instead of the Metal Gear Solid series."

It'll probably happen after an exclusivity period. Looking forward to it, but not pissing myself with anticipation. Plenty of stuff to keep me busy in the meantime.

How does MGS not match the Xbox 360 audience? Anyway, I REALLY hope they decide to port it because then I have absolutely no reason to even think about buying a PS3 any time soon. I don't mind a new IP from him (I really want to see his Wii game too), but if MGS4 comes to 360 ever, that's more or less $500 back in my pocket.

I'm with you man. I can't wait to get a PS3, but I'm most certainly not going to buy it anywhere near it's current price point. Having MGS4 come to the 360 would make the wait soooooo much easier.

MGS4 is the only reason that I'd be buying a PS3, so though it's not very likely, it would be amazing if it came to the 360

either that or a 360 spin off of Snatcher

A 360 Snatcher game would be funny since it would drag all the ultra-hardcores in. "Metal Gear? That shit is so trendy. SNATCHER is where it's at." Despite the fact that all the MGS games have been good.

That's the thing...Snatcher IS where it's at....am i wrong?

The original would be fun on Wii, just for the shooting gallery levels from the Sega Cd version.
MS better be throwing money at that man. They'd be crazy not to.
Agree'd.

If somehow they did trick Kojima into porting over MGS4 then I would be able to hold off on a PS3 for a bit...maybe...depends what other games are coming out for it.

EDIT: As for the ad either Kojima is mocking the 360 or Microsoft is asking Kojima to work on something for the 360...either way its funny.

Scary thing is it's possible. He's not loyal to any one company. He even begged for Snake to be in SSB Melee not just the current one for Wii. Sony won't allow this though. They'll throw money and deals and whatever else to keep MGSolid on the Playstation. Because this and GTA would me they have none of there AAA titles. I say this because Forza more then meets GTurismo in terms of quality and fun according to everyone I know, and reviewers as well.

I really didn't believe that Sony would be in major trouble at first, as opposed to most people.

Everyday of E3 that goes by, however, thier forecast seems to get worse and worse.

Yeah if Silent Hill and MGS went to the 360, then I don't see myself ever owning a PS3. Kojima said that MGS4 could run on the 360 so you never know, maybe it'll happen.
But yeah, I agree...I'd probably get a 360 instead of a PS3 if MGS4 was coming to both.
WRONG. I caught you.

I wish Kojima would be a MGS game on Xbox 360, though he probably won't. MGS4 is the only game currently making me want to buy a PS3.

Even if it's after a delay like GTA for the X-box it coming to the 360 would be a major blow to Sony.

In all seriousness though Sony can't let this happen. I've read a couple financial magazienes over the years and Sony gets most of there money from their games division. In fact, I think there turning it around a little, one talked about how because for a bit of time the games division was what was keeping the company a float financially was the reason the former head of the games division became the President/CEO/Head of Sony.

Anway Metal Gear going multi platform would spell the death knell for Sony hear in America. They would still sell and make money but they'd be in third.

Final Fantasy, but other than that I agree.

Point taken on Sony throwing however much it takes to keep MGS on the PS platform, but keep in mind Microsoft is capable of throwing even MORE money out to persuade them otherwise. Honestly, if the X360 wasn't coming out until this Christmas I believe MS would have done what they had to to get MGS3 on XBox last year.

I very much doubt the ad is "Kojima mocking Microsoft." First, why would he bother? Second, it's in just about every developer's best interests to NOT piss off any fanbase right now since a shakeup in marketshare could be on the way. Finally...even if it was "mocking" them, it's still a free ad. Why give that to a company you're making fun of?

I don't think it's Kojima mocking 360. What would be the point? He doesn't come across as the kind of guy that would do something like that even if he thought the 360 was shit. I guess MS could have bought an ad, but what's the point when it's kind of a mock thing anyway? Personally, whether MGS or something else, I think this means a Kojima game is coming to 360.
