Labyrinth and Dark Crystal?

If you are looking for the anniversary editions I've seen those both for around 18 dollars each in various places including amazon. If you are only interested in the movies the non-anniversary editions can usually be found for 8 dollars or less. I picked up the regular edition of labyrinth during the last deep discount sale for maybe 6 dollars.

Both have been on sale at CC in the past month for around $5 (I picked em both up recently.) Keep your eye on their weekly ads.

most likely the single disc regular editions. Which I guess theres no problem with that seeing as thats what i own. But if you want the special edition theyll be a little more. Especially Labrynith.

I believe there are 4-5 version of it now.

- Original
- Superbit
- Updated
- Just Released

So, I'm assuming you want the NEW versions?

Yeah I'm sorry I should have clarified. I was wondering if the new releases were on sale anywhere.

FYE.com has Dark Crystal for $18.99 before $7 mail-in rebate. Not valid in store ($22.99 "on sale"), unfortunately, so shipping applies. Probably tax, as well. Oddly, no $7 rebate on Labyrinth.

It never fails to amaze when they discover "new features" for 20-year-old movies. Companies need to just be honest and say, "We held back on releasing footage so we could profit on it with a new generation."

There'll be a 50th anniversary edition of Labyrinth with more "never-before-seen" footage.

the true cheapass wont care about new features and will just buy a bare bones version of the dvd. hell that is what i do whenever possible

Best Buy had a pre-order deal buy both & save $10, so it was $30 for both, not sure if it's still on... Buy.com if you used the GCO can score each for around $12 each shipped I believe...

Unfortunately I didn't realize it was a preorder deal and hoped the deal would still be active come release time, ala Muppets seasons 1 & 2 for $40. As such, my employee discount at BB saved me only a buck or so on each. I didn't figure it was worth waiting for a rebate check for effectively $5 savings.
