January 14 ~ 16 one of the larger regular LAN events in the US is going to
be held in Louisville, KY at the University of Louisville campus.
Typically the turn out is around 200-300 people for a LanWar, but
you might be more familiar with the MillionManLan event that the same
group holds annually. The MML plays host to more like 1200 gamers.
The network, power, and facilities are provided by the hosts, but everything else is "bring your own" console, or PC systems.
There's a $500 prize and Alienware is also sponsoring a laptop prize as well in the official tournaments.
Lots of RTS, FPS, and "whatever you get together" games going on.
Registration is open now, and the ticket/badge for all 3 days is $35.
