If you order two drinks to go at Papa Johns, you get them in a carrier that has a coupon for 10% off 699+ HDTV's at Best Buy, good until June 30th.

Downside, you have to deal with Best Buy and the discount is off regular prices, so it may not even be worth it.

Can the discount be combined with an emplyee discount?

It says, "not good in combination with any other coupons or offers". So probably not I reckon.

Hint: If you play this game on PapaJohns website, you can add drinks to your large pizza purchase for free.

How big of a TV do you want? How much do you want to spend?

I recommend the 55" Mitsubishi at Best Buy. It's $1500 and can be had cheaper on sale.

GREAT TV (no 720P....but most projection TV's don't seem to have it)

1080i is great though with HD channels. 480p is great with XBOX :)

Sanyo 30" Widescreen HDTV at walmart for $562.00, not sure if its a good tv though.
yes it's suposed to be a very good tv,it has built in hdtv tuner, which means you can get some hd channels with OLD SCHOOL RABBIT EARS!

> Just a minor correction. CRT based RPTVs are the sets that don’t support 720p in general. All the fixed pixel displays like DLPs, LCDs, etc. will scale the image to their native resolution.

Thanks everyody. $2000 is the most I wanted to spend and a 55" is sufficiant. My only worries are of possible problems when gaming. I heard projecton tvs are not a good idea.

The problem with burn in only occurs with CRT and Plasma based TVs. LCD, DLP and LCOS are worry free. Even if you use a CRT for gaming, as long as your brightness and contrast levels are set correctly, you shouldn’t have any problems. Two calibration DVDs to consider are Avia and DVE (Digital Video Essentials).

I have the Sony KDF-60XS955 which is a 60" Wide Screen LCD Rear Projection HDTV. I've had it for about two months and have had no problems with it all when it comes to gaming. It looks great and there are no "stuck pixels" if the game moves to fast. I have pictures if you wanna see :D

I would recommend an LCD or DLP rear projection. If you are going to invest in a HD TV, yopu should really think about the future. MS has confirmed that the next XBOX will support 720 p for all of its games. LCD or DLP will give you the 720p you want and it makes a huge difference. Fox sports broadcasts in 720p and compared to old school TVs its like the difference between black and white tvs and color. The difference in price is just a few hundred dollars at this point, so it is better to get current technology rather ope that is on its way out.

This isn't really true anymore for plasma TVs. The first two generations suffered from this problem and now it is a common misconception that it happens all the time. The charged gas particles rotate inside of each plasma in a manner that is imperceptible to the human eye. This almost eliminates burn in (although it could still happen).
The DLP sets still have that rainbow effect problem?
What rainbow effect problem? Which set?

> Thanks. I haven't been keeping up with Plasma as much as in the past since the HD sets are so expensive.

We have a 57" Toshiba 57H83, bought it about a year and a half ago. It supports 1080i and 720p and looks fantastic. The one we bought was an open box return, we paid $1600 for it and at that time it retailed for $2000. The delivery guys were a couple of lazy A-holes (Best Buy) and I was able to get an additional 10% refunded. Anyway, I play video games on it all the time and no problems so far. However, like someone else said, it is very important to properly adjust brightness and contrast as they are factory set too high for home use. One thing to keep in mind when shopping for one is that they look much smaller in the store than they do in your house.

Nope. When an employee discount is used you can not use coupons or other specials ie 24 month no interest financing.
