Laura Bush to appear on "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"

One can only hope they get the best damn porch builders in the world for that one.

On a slightly more serious note, I'm now taking bets that the family who Laura 'helps' has a son serving in Iraq and is strongly pro-war. They'll also be black, but that's pretty much a given. I also suspect that there's a better-than-average chance that someone in the family died on 9/11 (the only thing that stops me from taking bets on that one is that it'll probably be difficult to find a family that matches all those qualifications. They'll try, though, no doubt about it...)

The family will most likely be black, but due to the location, I doubt there will be a connection to 9/11 in the Northeast. However, it may be a miltary family like you said, but they may leave out any opinions concerning Iraq.

Yeah. I'm sure its something on their wish-list for the perfect family to make over, but the odds are that it simply won't be possible.

They won't DIRECTLY talk about Iraq - that would be a bit too obvious. Just a reference to the son, bravely serving in the military over in Iraq. He'll then show up (in uniform, naturally) towards the end of the show as a 'surprise' for the family.
