LCD Monitor

I'm interested in a 19in LCD monitor. Does anyone know of any popular brands that does the job for gaming, DVD viewing, and all the other stuff? Also I heard ok things about the widescreen models but also that the 1440x900 resolution isn't good with gaming or something of that nature. Any ideas? Thx

get a 1600x1200 19 inch viewsonic... will run you around 350$ if you cant find it i will.. but it shouldnt be hard i am just lazy...

you will thank yourself later if you get that monitor and also run it in 1600x1200

I've been looking recently as well. I was thinking about the 19 inch wide Gateway at Best Buy for $269 I think it is. (have a $200 gift card there. )

What's wrong with 1400x900? I think that is it's native res.

I bought that monitor, I like it quite a bit, I know it's not really what you were looking for, but if you really want to watch movies, widescreen is the way to go. I like it for games too, HL2, Hitman Blood Money, Oblivion all look great on it.
