Lead and Gold = PS store FREE for Plus subscribers... Usually it's $14.99

I pre-ordered this a long time ago on steam. It's actually decent. This kind of makes me wish I was a plus subscriber.

hmmm how is this? any customization to your character? ive watched some videos and am on the fence. I could go buy one of those 3 month Plus memberships... any other free games avaliable to plus members?

Not bashing just saying what does this do for the 99% of us who don't or won't pay for PSN? Not really a deal in case. Its more of a notice, which should go into the PSN specific deal thread, board.
 
it's not exactly free. if you get a 3month card you can only play it during those 3 months, and then you can't play it until you resubscribe.

you can always download all games that are free. just go to the ps plus tab on the ps store and you're good to go

You might still have to go look through the games lists to see if anything is hidden. I think it's happened before with Warhawk DLC at the beginning of the program.
 
Someone above said that if you download a free game with a 3 month subscription then and it runs out you can't play the game unless you renew your subscription. Is this the same if you buy a 1 year subscription?

Yes, any free games are only available to play while you have a current active subscription. However you can let your subscription lapse, and renew it at a later time and you will regain access to all the free games you had downloaded. Discounted games are a different matter. Anything you buy at a discounted price through PS+ is yours to keep and play forever, even if you no longer have a subscription.

thanks guys ill have to take note of that... kinda shady on PSN's part. but I guess thats the way the cookie crumbles. I think psn will get better though, hopefully!
 
Maybe not for some, but for me PLUS has been totally worth it. Tremendous value with tons of free games offered to subscribers. My sub isn't up until next September and I've already gotten plenty of ROI.

How is that shady if they tell you that up front?
 
While there probably didn't need to be a separate thread for just this deal, I do think there needs to be a PS+ thread. There used to be one and it had lists of stuff that was upcoming which was always nice to know. Then, for some reason, that died off and this info is now bured in the regular PSN thread. Personally, I never see that PSN thread bumped to the top of my subbed list so I always miss these things unless I happen to find them myself on PSN (which I usually check every week anyway so I saw this on my PS3 before I saw it here). But I would have been mad had I missed the Sam & Max stuff which is otherwise hidden on PS+.

(Edit: OK, the PSN thread is bumped up on my subbed threads, but since it is always just titled with the new regular PSN releases which I am never interested in paying full price for I never read it).

If there isn't one made by the time I get home from work tonight, I wouldn't mind making it.
