Left 4 Dead 2 Cold Stream DLC hits today

Left 4 Dead 2 is getting an update today. Cold Stream drops today, Friday, August 3rd, on the Xbox 360 for 560 MS points. What's that, you say? The game is dated? Microsoft is charging for something PC gamers got for free? Well, Valve feels your pain, and in addition to new missions to play, including a community created mission, the update is also coming with all 4 missions from the original Left 4 Dead. No, I'm not a commercial, just an Xbox 360 player, and a big Valve fan. I'll be snagging this DLC later today, when it drops.
 
Well it would be awesome if store carried this game and if it would occassionaly go on sale and not stay firm at $29.99

Try the pawn shops. I snagged my copy there last summer for a cool ten bucks. Even still had a valid 48 hour code in it.

I know... I'm looking for new copies though.

OT but the last time I checked Gamestop was pulling a fast one and trying to get like $40+ for a used copy.

Who knows if and when it will be added today. If it is added today, since it's Valve, it will likely be at the 11th hour.

Just to be clear, the "No Mercy" campaign from L4D1 is included in "The Sacrifice" DLC for L4D2. "Cold Stream" (if it ever actually comes out) will include the other three original campaigns, plus the "Crash Course" mini campaign which was originally its own DLC.
 
what I'm curious about is if any of the L4D1 maps have been changed or adapted or enhanced in any way? or will it feel like you're playing L4D1 when you're using these maps? is there any reason any more to play L4D1 after this DLC except for the achievements?

Maybe for "The Last Stand" if you bought that DLC. I think that will be the only thing missing from L4D2 now.
 
I was able to play Crash Course by getting the Cold Stream DLC! And I never owned Crash Course! Woohoo! The Sacrifice stuff is still unavailable.
 
Anyone have problems with their xbox freezing up since update? I've played L4D2 for the past couple of weeks without any problems, I do the update (not DLC) yesterday and xbox locked up twice playing L4D2.

Not when you're playing the campaign... would break the story.
 
If anyone is looking for a decent teammate shoot me a PM. I miss playing this game with people who actually know how to play as a team.

Death Toll, Dead Air, Blood Harvest, Crash Course and Cold Stream.
 
Anybody having any problems with the dedicated servers after the Cold Stream update? I have been having issues starting a game on a dedicated server, it keeps crashing while it is loading the game.
