Upcoming Deal
Transports the Empire's elite and the occasional secret strike team of Rebel commandos all across the galaxy.

Imperial Shuttle
I hope it's a good price!!!!

Heh, the only good thing about being in Paris, is that I don't have to be up at some odd hour to get many deals.....time diff works in my favor now. :)

That Boba fett clock is 50% off at B&N, use ebates to get 10% back.

But darn...wish I got in on the fire brigade.
Now that I safely have them on order through the Black Friday sale, I can report that Imperial Flagship and Fire Brigade are definitely discontinued. As are the currently "Sold Out" Scorpion Pyramid and HP Hogwart's Express. There are others too, but I didn't want to hassle the poor lady on the phone anymore. I spoke with this Shop at Home rep on Wednesday and she said once stock runs out at Shop at Home and other retailers, that's it for these sets. They probably didn't discount Fire Brigade like they did the Flagship because it is more popular and they know it will sell through even without a discount. She said only about 100 Brigades remain in their warehouse and recommended I order right at midnight tonight, which I did! This is my second - its a really nice set. I may get one more solely for investment purposes. I've been sitting on 2 Green Grocers for over a year and they have increased nicely.:D
Sean, what sale price did you get Fire Brigade at? Still shows in stock on lego.com. Only the 10% off??

Man, please give us at least 40% off....
BN in store half off one toy, legos included.
Do you need a coupon for that or how does this work?

Works automatically - one discount per transaction.

I had a cool cashier and got the big Alien Conquest set, Harry Potter Hagrid's Hut & The Burrows, and the City Space Shuttle set at 50% off for each. Don't need a coupon or anything.

Yes, just the 10% off with free shipping and free holiday set #2. It sounds like Amazon has a lot and may sell them cheaper down the road, but oh well I'm glad I got the second one that I needed for my collection. I got 25% off the first one through TRU last year anyway. I haven't bought any "investment" Brigades yet, because now I'm not sure if the LEGO lady was yankin' my chain about its discontinuation. All I know is that I asked her: "If I give you some set numbers, can you tell me if they are being discontinued or not?" and she said yes, only if she knew about it. She said of both the Flagship and the Brigade, that those are ones that she had been specifically told were discontinued. So perhaps Amazon's inventory is incorrect. In regards to the ones in "Sold Out" status like the Pyramid, she said those are highly unlikely to return to the shop, and therefore highly likely to be discontinued.

Merry X-Mas to me, wife just splurged on the Imperial Flagship from the Lego Store. The CC bill from all this Christmas shopping is going to hurt really bad :(. Also FYI, the Flagship switched from "Out of Stock - Ships 30 days" to "Available Now". Here's to hoping that it's actually available. If anyone else wants one better get on it now.

Zepphead, only 10% off?! :) I guess that's the best deal we'll get. Wish I could get one, but I the new Dino and Ninajago stole all of my money.

Lego sort and whatever it's called is 50% off at HEB, for those of u Texans. Can pricematch it somewhere with the ad. It's that big yellow head.

Dammit, I wish I was in the USA. :)

hey folks, long time no deal chat. happy holidays to you all.

just picked up a london escape 4193 for $24.99 for the amazon lightning deal. *man* they sold out fast. now i'm wondering if the imperial shuttle (presumably) is going to be 50% off as well.

can't get to a brick-n-mortar B&N today. bummed. but did pick up the boba fett clock for half off online, and i know my son will love that.

Hey guys,

I will be getting an extra Holiday Set 2 of 2. I was wondering if anybody has an extra one of Holiday Set 1 of 2, since i missed out on it, and we can trade. Let me know if you are interested.

OMG!!!! I just got back from BN, thinking about going to a different location. Any idea when the sale ends I forgot to ask?

I picked up Queen Anns Revenge, Darth Mauls Sith Infiltrator, Sith Night Speeder & a LeapPad all 50% off!!!!

Got it in my cart... to bite or not to bite... I just landed a job at my local Lego Store, so IDK how a 24% sale on Amazon will stack up against an employee discount.
I have a Shuttle in my Amazon cart and about 10 minutes to think it over. Are they 100% claimed now?
yes, 100% claimed. I bought mine
Does BN carry the Slave I?
I don't remember seeing it at the location I was at but I'm sure they have carried it, they have a good selection.

Big sets that I saw were QAR, Fire Temple, Kings Castle, Pharaohs Pyramid, and Flos V8 Cafe. I think the Police Station and the Harbor set, they had a lot of City, Cars, Alien Conquest and Harry potter.
$198 for the Imperial Shuttle....not sure that's a good enough price for me to bite on
I'm thinking I'm going to pass too since I just spent quite a bit of money and contemplating on going to two different locations.

Not sure how others are, but my local Lego Store has higher prices on sets compared to Amazon and even Lego.com itself. But it could because of my location.

Okay thanks. I've been trying to get the Slave I for a while, I'll stroll through BN on my way home.

I'm thinking I'm going to pass too since I just spent quite a bit of money and contemplating on going to two different locations.

I caved in and bought it. Figure I can still cancel it in the next day if I truly get buyers remorse. Or maybe I can talk my mom into buying it for me for xmas! LOL.

I just went ahead and did it, I had some credit and payed $157.xx $135.xx out of pocket. (cancelled a previous order I didn't really care for)

Pulled the trigger on it too. Hey, I had $1.xx in credit to spend, why not on this?

Basically my first paycheck is spoken for now, between this and the $102 I spent on the Fire Brigade earlier today.

Pirate - how in the heck did you get the Fire Brigade for $102???

I released my Imperial Shuttle also. Just couldn't do it. Hopefully there is still time for someone else to snag it.

Meggie, I hate to make you more jealous, but I just went to my local Barnes and Noble and scored Hogwart's Express and the Earth Defense HQ each for 50% off. :D I was surprised to see so many sets still available right before closing. And to thing I ws originally was going to skip Barnes and Noble altogether today, assuming everything would be gone by the evening. I guess most people were following the 1 per customer rule posted on all the signs. I asked if it would be alright if I purchase the HP set, put it in my car, come back in and purchase another set. The cashier said that was fine with him. I didn't want to press my luck and try it a third time, but it was SOOOO tempting. This store had all the newer HP sets, plus a few old ones, and lots of mid-range Star Wars and City. Not a single POTC set anywhere, but its a smaller store so they may not have carried them. They also had all the Architecture sets, but I tried buying one (before going back and choosing the Alien Conquest set) and it rang up at full price. So I guess the Architecture series aren't considered "educational" toys. Funny, because I think they are probably the MOST educational of all the sets they carry! Anyway, Barnes and Noble definitely gets my vote for having the best Black Friday deal this year. :applause:

Good lord, do all stores just suck here. All my BN had were AC, some old city sets, and like last years Atlantis sets.

No HP, a spattering of crappy SW sets.

oh well.... I got the AC HQ for 40%... so I'm not too bitter. I'm just sour now.

The Fire Brigade was $149 as usual S@H, so with the BF deals I got a 10% discount, free shipping, and I had $40 in VIP rewards sitting in my account.

This was my experience as well. Though without much to spend I got the city advent calendar, the HP bus, and the Vader clock. So tempted by larger sets, but was lucky the wife let me get what I got. Oh, and as a member it was like getting 55% off. Best LEGO sale of the year if you ask me.

Picked up the PQ pyramid for $50 at B&N today. Also picked up Kingdoms Castle and Tower Escape over the past 2 days for 40% off too. Are those good deals? Anyone think I overpaid for any of it? Kinda figured it was the last chance on most of that stuff since its discontinued from what I can tell.

I'm so jealous of you all with the B&N deal. But I've spent so much money online, and I'm scared for when the credit card bills come. My husband is going to S### a brick!!

I wanted to spend so much more at B&N but after 4 transactions I didn't want to push my luck. I did go to a different one earlier tonight but they didn't have much there, I was hoping to find Hogwarts Castle.

same thing here

i'm sure everyone's already familiar, but TRU has BOGO today only for Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Cars, with an extra $25 off if you spend $150. works online. over $49 free shipping or free shipping to store.

Let me know if somebody finds a glitch online like last time!

I haven't even SEEN a Hogwarts Castle in stores for months. We managed to find one from B&N with a 50% off coupon like in March or so. B&N also has a stock checker, that was acurate enough for me to find a PotC Queen Anne's Revenge.

Picked up PotC Queen Anne's Revenge last night for $53.97 (50% off stacked with 10% member discount--thank you free trial!). Really looking forward to this set!

my BN had nothing really. Didn't want to waste the 50% opportunity so I bought the Bobba Fett Lego alarm clock (which is pretty damn cool anyway)

This earns a +10 To Funny for being in the LEGO thread.

Q: What happened to the boy who swallowed a LEGO brick?
A: He shat out a Mega Blok.

A couple more sets were added to the Lego S@H deals section (or at least I missed them). Mill Village Raid and Earth Defense HQ are among them (each 25% off). The additional 10% off on orders of $149+ plus free shipping and Santa Christmas set.

Decent deal for those of us who don't have awesome B&N stores.

a couple of the magnet sets have also been marked down to $3.48 - the city burglars and annakin/thi-sen/clone pilot (lego S@H)

Hey folks- it looks like the LEGO Shop@Home rep whom I spoke with was misinformed, and passed that mis-information on to me. Instead of Fire Brigade selling out right away like I was warned, it appears 10211 Grand Emporium is the set that was closer on its way out because it is now SOLD OUT at LEGO S@H! Already going for $30+ over retail on Amazon, and TRU hasn't had it in weeks, you all better get one soon! I already got one last year with a TRU BOGO. I considered getting a few more for investment, but I've already spent too much on LEGO lately. ;) Happy hunting!

It seems like they would be discontinuing it prematurely. The set was only released in March 2010.

Of course, they may just create a certain number of each modular set and then stop production. Once that number runs out the set is discontinued.

YIIIIKES! I've been eyeballing this set since it came out. I thought for sure the Fire Brigade would go OOS first. But it sort of makes sense, since the GE looks so impressive. I have all the modulars but this one. I thought I'd have more time!

Quick search, it does appear to be sold out or overpriced everywhere but Target.com. Just got one for $149. Go! Go! Go!

I predict this one will skyrocket in price, just like the Cafe Corner--the corner buildings are the best ones!
