So, I used to play the WoW TCG and still had a loot card with a code for an in game item that I did not want any more. Looked it up on eBay and saw it was going for around $65-70 so I figured hey easy money (Ogre Disguise Trinket). I make a listing then about an hour later I get a message from eBay telling me they removed it because it could be "considered infringement of intellectual property." Never really paid much attention to their policies on this type of stuff before, but from what they are telling me no one is allowed to sell virtual items like that. What really frustrates me, I respond to the message, asking them well ok, why are these other listing for the same item still up and they just give me a BS excuse of they don't always catch those types of auctions! Grr, anyone ever had any luck selling WoW in game stuff on eBay, or maybe any suggestions?

It probably has to do with how it was listed. If you list it as an in-game item, it'll probably get flagged, but if you list it as a card from TCG, then it should be ok.

tips:

-do not sell it as a virtual item, sell the card itself
-do not say you will email the code, that will get your listing removed. You have to ship it.
