Little big planet 3 $9.99 new at gamestop

I'm amused that the PS3 version is $39.99 for a physical copy, $9.99 for the download. Usually it's the other way around, but this is the way it should be.

Lol...by the time you get done patching it, the physical copy is pretty much a digital copy, anyway (one of those games where the on-disc game is broken and unfinished enough that you probably won't want to play your physical copy from a clean install if the servers shut down in the future and it can't be patched).

I heard this game was patched multiple times by the developer. Are the bugs pretty much eliminated?

I never bothered to pick this up, but for $9.99 I'll at least put it on my shelf and consider playing it one day. I just picked up LBP Vita the other day too I am starting to get an itch to fire some LBP up soon.

Ya...still some slight performance issues here and there, but it's fairly solid after over 20 patches over the course of a year or two. The parts that were totally broken are fixed, the bugs are squashed, and the features that were supposed to be there at launch are patched in.

Still irks me that they literally released it unfinished to get it out for the holidays, though. I got the ps3 version like a month after launch, and even with the first couple patches out, there was a whole section of the game that was broken to the point that it was pretty much unplayable without using weird workarounds (things like turning on a second controller and letting the first player die because the first player's items didn't work).

It's good to hear that the patches took care of most if not all the bugs. Being a fan of the first two games on PS3, I avoided this one because of how buggy it was. Guess if GS puts this on sale again and assuming I can find a copy that isn't gutted, I'll pick up a copy.

I picked this up a month or so ago for this price for the PS3 version. Still unopened, backlog away!!

How big are the online features in this game? I don't have PSN. I wonder if I should buy the PS3 version to play online free even if visually it doesn't look as good.

I'm assuming you mean you don't have PS+ since you need PSN to play on ps3, too? But it has a lot of online features. You can play the story levels online with other people (if you allow them to join). The biggest thing is that there are a bazillion user-created levels, including backwards compatibility with user-created levels (and DLC) from the earlier games. So, if you dig that, you'd definitely want to be able to play online.

New on prime with free two day shipping for $12.80.

Unfortunately, I can't post links yet since I haven't posted here before, so you'll have to reconstruct the URL.

Yes, it's PS+. I guess I will pick this game on PS3 then to play online unless the PS4 version is much better than the PS3 version. I haven't had too much an incentive to join PS+ yet but if there's enough reason to, I just might.
