I used to have a logitech wireless controller but I got rid of it when I got my slim PS2...it annoyed me that the reciever was too big for the slim console. Did they shrink it in newer versions? Also what is the difference between these 3? http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/productlist/US/EN,crid=2276,categoryid=285 Just vibration? It looks as if the reciever for the no vibration black one is smaller. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have the slim PS2 and 2 Logitech cordless Action controllers. The bottom of the receivers is flush with the bottom of the PS2. Logitech has definitely adjusted it for the slim PS2. Make sure you get a new one so that you're sure it is from the latest production runs.

The Action controller has vibration feedback and are more ergonomically pleasing. I think it has better battery life too.

Cool...is there anyway to determine its a newer one?

I have the first one listed at the link you posted (the Logitech Cordless Action) and the receiver fits nicely with my slim PS2. I bought one from Buy.com with the Google Checkout deal. The contouring is very nice, much more comfortable than the design of the Sony Dual Shocks. I'd highly recommend it.

In case anyone is interested in picking one of these up from a local store, Target has these on sale this week for $34.99.

Picked one up last nite and its fantastic.

Sony should have bought the design from logitech and used it as the basis for the PS3 controller.

I've just ordered one tonight from Amazon. They have them for just under $30 shipped.

IGN raves about these controllers, and judging from everyone's response here, I'm glad I finally ordered one.

Edit - Did some searches for reviews from other CAGs and everyone is just raving about them. Can't wait till my silver PS2 and Logitech controller arrives!

My logitech controller has been acting up recently. While I'm playing, all of a sudden the controller just stops working, and what I would do is remove the batteries, then put them in again. After that it would work again. I'm thinking it's those little springs located where the battery goes, but I'm not sure. I might end up getting another one. When they work, they're the best PS2 controllers out there, wired or wireless.

I absolutely loved mine. I've had it for about two years and I think I only changed the battery once or twice, though I always keep rumble turned off. however, the X button just started sticking during the constant mashing while running/cycling in Bully.

Regarding the receiver being too big for the slim console - true, but not a big deal. I just brought my console to the edge of the shelf so that the receiver hangs over the edge. You could also just get something very small, like a thin book or piece of wood, to put under the console (the receiver is barely too big).

I just got my Logitech and the receiver is just slim enough so there is a millimeter between the ground and the receiver. So it is not necessary to have to put the PS2 over the edge. They must have updated it. The only problem is when using the receiver and a Memory Card at the same time, the space is kinda tight.
