Looking For A $250 Laptop

Hello, fellow Cags

I'm looking for a laptop for around $250 so that I get my pc back from our teenage daughter.
Brand doesn't matter, though dvd and wi-fi are a must.
If anyone has one they're willing to part with or has seen a good deal ,please, let me know....thanks

craigslist would be your best bet I would think. I'm guessing all your daughter wants a computer for is myspace, email and messenger, you should be able to find a nice used laptop for $250 or less

This showed up in my inbox this morning.

No CD/DVD Rom drive though, but it's pretty cool and it's girly pink, oh and it's new. Just thought I'd throw it out there for ya.
 
try a local computer store. They might get trade ins or old laptops in occasionally. Also, there's some cheapo ones at Office max/Depot. You can always get her one that will last for some time this week at BB for $499. It's a gateway with Vista and it's pretty much set.
 
i got my new one for $300. There are always sales at best buy for $400 laptops and if you get lucky with a coupon you'll be able to knock it down.
