I need one for a router a friend gave me, to hook up to my xbox. Ill probably need 50 to 100 feet. Retail stores are very expensive and online stores cost quite a bit to ship. Plus I want it fast. Any idea where to get one cheap?

turboled.com

I just bought me a 50 ft one for Lan games and a 100 ft one for my friend for his xbox.

I think the total was about $15 for both shipped, so i think its about $10 shipped for hte 100 ft and $7 shipped for the 50 ft

Hope this helps, not often i contribute to this site (besides trading)

Damn, I am an idiot. I just paid $12 for a 14 Ft cable recently. I needed it ASAP, but I should have looked around first.

If you don't want to wait for shipping, EB sells 50ft cables for $10 and 100 ft cables for $15 I think.

Yeah online somewhere is your best bet. If you go to a store you will get absolutely raped on the price, although you will have it right away. Newegg ships fast and has good prices for their cables, and oddly enough as someone mentioned EB is pretty good for these too. I bought a 50 ft. one from a guy on eBay before by the name of cat5cableguy and it was a pretty good cable, although it will probably take longer to ship to you than Newegg or someplace.

I think they stopped selling them as I could not find them on their site last time I checked and did not see any last time I went to a B&M store

Your best bet is to get a huge spool of it complete with connectors and make them yourself.

Of course, that's only good if you actually end up having tons of uses for it.

And you need to be a bit of nerd like me.

But it's still an idea.

I can see it now..
Local geek makes millions in his homemade ethernet cable business.
:D

Strell has got it figured out - the markup on these cables is ASTRONOMICAL! I did the exact thing - bought a spool and made my own. Saved myself a bundle.
