My wife's laptop took a crap yesterday and I'm looking to pick up a new one quickly. Something basic like a Dell Inspiron or something-- she just uses it to surf the internet, store pictures, and the like.

Any current deals I should be aware of? Thanks CAGs!

I'd say get a Netbook if you already have a PC/external hard drive/external DVD drive. I got my Asus EEE PC for under $300 and it has served me well for the basic stuff, it doesn't have an optical drive that's all that is missing.
