Looking for a really cheap desktop

My gf needs a desktop and Im planning to surprise her with one and since she doesn't know anything about em it means I don't have to spend much lol. All she does is use it to go on Myspace, upload music on her iTunes and iPod, and type out her homework and occasionally watch Youtube videos. The only thing that she would really need is maybe a 40GB hard drive, nothing too fancy. Can anyone point me in the direction of something under $300? I just need the system and not the monitor since im gonna give her my old LCD lol

dell has 2 desktops
1 for 299 .celeron processor with vista eeek!
1 for 349. Pentium® dual-core processor with vista.

Their may be some other dell coupons as well floating around.
 
As you probably know even a desktop from five years ago or more can do all of that. You don't have to spend more than $100 or so. Less if you're willing to go used?
 
If you have a Staples (office supply store) in your area, they have a emachine desktop for $299.99. You get the tower, keyboard, mouse, and speakers. Should be enough for your gf.
