I want to sell some of my games but have never done any physical selling and haven't sent individual games in the mail.  I was wondering what methods you guys use to ship games.  I want to sell my zelda collector's edition and some of my ps3 games that have steelbooks.  Was thinking of just using a bubble mailer but would I be better of using a small box especially with the steelbooks? In terms of shipping was thinking of just doing usps priority mail

For normal games I would just use a bubble mailer. With the steelbooks and anything with a cardboard sleeve you are right to think a small box would be better.

Priority mail would be overkill. First class usually takes 2-3 days to get where it has to go, has tracking, and is only around $2 for a game. You may have to use priority if the games you ship in a box weigh more than 14 oz I think. Anything less go with first class.

USPS prices recently increased. $2 is really low for shipping. It'll likely be between $3 and $4.50. Still better than priority, but you have to supply the box/mailer.

If you're going to sell a lot, pick up a small postal scale and purchase your postage online for a small discount. Plus it keeps you out of PO lines.

You're right, they've gone up a bit but I am still only paying around $2.50 to ship a game in a bubble envelope. And that is to the other side of the country. Ive never paid over $3 for just a game in a padded envelope.
