anyone know anydeals on eyetoy groove with the camera?? or maybe anyone on here wanna sell theirs???

o and offtopic but anyone heard off eye toy chat..lol that will be awesome
 
My local Target recently had a price cut (not sure if it was temporary) on the EyeToy: Groove bundle, down to $39.99. Not too great of a deal, considering that Walmart had the original EyeToy: Play bundle for $15 in some stores (major YMMV), but it's worth a trip to your B&M.

I heard about EyeToy: Chat, too. Supposed to have text chat rooms, voice chat room, and all-out video chat sessions available. It's coming out in Eurpoe first, and there's no word on a U.S. release yet...what I'm wondering is if someone without the USB camera can still get the EyeToy: Chat disc and participate in the text and voice chat rooms.
 
You could try a BJ's wholesale club if you have one near you.

I got the Play bundle at mine for $16.
 
damn awesome. i dont think that even exists in miami.. wishful thinking but can anyone pick one up for me or are they gone lol

ill see if i can get out next weekend. i want one too, so i can flail around like (more of) an idiot in front of my tv.

yea but anywayz im very interested in the eye toy.. lol eye toy:chat looks awesome. can you imagine having meting here trying to do trades in a video conference. or showing off our collections etc...
 
I'm not sure if Play disk sells by itself like Groove disk [it might later on], but I know I saw at least one person on ebay selling just the Play disk.
ALternately, you could get Eyetoy/Play combo, and keep an eye out for a deal on Groove. Since Eyetoy is 'hardware', it might be harder to find a deal on it.

Actually, I have a question--if the Eyetoy is simply a USB camera, if you could find the Play disk by itself, could you just use a regular USB webcam in your PS2? I've read that the Eyetoy camera works in a computer. I've got a Veo webcam I'm not really using for anything else.
 
well i eventually got the groove w/camera as a gift. i think i should have asked for play instead. anyone still know where to get the play disc by itself cheap??
 
Well, I saw Target selling the Play disc by itself, but it was ridiculously overpriced at either $40 or $50, I can't remember exactly. I guess a disc-only of Play does exist, because it definitely wasn't part of the regular Play package that they were selling.

Your best bet is probably Ebay, yo :)
