So my laptop hates me now and doesn't last longer than 20 minutes on battery. People have also tripped/kicked the adaptor around so much that the connection is also loose. It's a Dell Inspiron 1520 and I'm looking for a place to buy a cheaper than retail battery/adaptor. Probably a 9-cell would be best now. Anyone know a good website/place to buy cheap replacement batteries? Come on CAGGERs, I know one of you must've replaced your battery at one point.
im using a dell inspiron 6000 and never replaced it yet :p
way to add to the discussion:roll:

I had to buy a generic charger for the ol' ladies' laptop over the summer. Did alot of searching before I found one cheap, came with 7 different adapters and the ac pack. The website was pretty generic looking as well. Give me some time to dig through my e-mails to see if I can find the website for ya

The one time I ordered a replacement battery was for a dell 600m from Pacific Battery Systems. Service was fine and the battery was good, but this was a couple of years ago, so do your own due diligence.

On the adapter, are you sure that it's the adapter and not the DC jack (inside the laptop) itself? I just had to replace the jack on my sister's laptop, and it was a biotch!...and I'm reasonably handy with a soldering iron.

I ordered my replacement jack from this guy:
