I know I'm late on this one (I recently introduced my wife to MST3K and she loves it so I'm starting to get all the collections for us)

I know it's OOP but I was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere to find it or if anyone has a copy they were willing to sell. I know it will cost me (as long as it's not the $124 people are charging on Amazon)

Just because the site I found it on says it has only one in stock I'm going to PM you the link instead of posting it in here. Hopefully the site has it for you, since compared to amazon marketplace resellesrs this price is a steal.
 
Sorry, not to be a jerk, but since the site I found it on reported only having one in stock I'm giving the OP first dibs on it. If I don't hear anything from the OP in a day I'll post it in here.

And it looks like it no longer matters, the link I sent to the guy is no longer going to Volume 9 since volume 9 is now permanently out of stock apparently.

Yeah I just got your PM this morning and that link was to volume 6 now :( But thanks so much for the heads up!
 
I think you're looking at Ebay TBH OP, the other place to maybe try is if you ever go past a Borders or Barnes & Noble it might be worth trying there as I heard some places forgot to take them off the shelves.

At this point I think you're gonna be very lucky to get it, lottery winning lucky.

I'm not even sure why Vol 9 got recalled, rights issues on one or more of the movies presumably.
 
Yeah, I remember I got my copy right after it got discontinued, and that was a while ago. I still hope to one day find the original volume ten for cheap, but I really doubt that will ever happen.
 
I believe 9 got recalled over Women of the Prehistoric Planet. I'll take a look locally. Even after 10 got recalled I was still able to find it at a local record shop, so maybe I'll have the same luck and pass it on to you. Otherwise.. I just don't know. Once a MST3K gets rare people will gouge like there is no tomorrow.
 
Wow, I had no idea these sets were becoming hard to find and going OOP. I picked up Volumes 1-4 when they were first released, but then I stopped buying them because I was developing a serious TV-on-DVD backlog. I figured I'd get all the sets I missed someday when a nice sale came around. Apparently that was a pretty crappy plan. #-o

Good luck in your search Craig. If I ever come across one somehow, I'll keep you in mind.

Vol 9 is the only one you'll really struggle to get, or an original Vol 10 but they released a volume 10.2 which is basically the same only with Giant Gila Monster instead of the Godzilla flick.

All the rest are easily available at Amazon etc
