Some parts aren't necessary. If the thing hasn't even been inspected yet, I wouldn't buy a thing. PS2's have some of the weakest, crappiest ribbon cables known to man, but they are easy to fix. I'd check that first. If its not reading disks its easy enough to adjust the lens. I'd try to fix it with no parts first, theres lots of good info on google and guides for adjusting the lenses and what not. I recently had to fix my PS2, cause there was no way I'm about to buy anotherone with nextgen systems on the horizon.
